As theres no dedicated forum for handhelds yet and that the Legion go is in here ive stated this thread

I've ordered the A8 Claw today and all being well will be delivered tomorrow so would be good if this can be a start of Z2 Extreme things

It arrived yesterday and initially I felt somewhat disappointed by the feel of it, I thought it felt very cheap in the hand but the more i used it the better it got, it is very scratchy type of plastic but its also very solid no creaks etc so i'm sure it will be quite durable, i've yet to remove the plastic factory screen protector film as I wasnt 100% sure if I was going to keep it but even with that in place the screen looks great, the speakers are amazing give of some great bass, i've only tried a couple of games so far, forza motorsport and doom the dark ages both ran perfectly in the time i tried, spending a bit of time today downloading and setting up. I tried the xbox full screen experience on my go s which I may try on this but so far its not sruggling at all with windows, may just wait for general release before I try again as the Centre M software seems pretty decent also

Its been returned, the haptic motors were beyond horrific, still got a legion go s which is great to hold just a little lacking on performance, was going to get the Z1E 32gb model before ordering this. But simply the motors made such a racket when vibrating if you were using the speakers they would over power the sound, an absolute joke at £850

Ahh that's a shame.

I've been out of the loop for so long with gaming but do like the look of a handheld, what would something like the Legion offer over a SteamDeck, more power I guess?

Yes a bit more power, the Z2E a lot more power, to me the GO S is one of the nicest to hold, and the 8" screen is a lot more usable than 7" imo. If they were to bring out a Go S with Z2E and bigger battery thats what I would get, despite there being so many different handhelds theres not one that has everything right for my liking, the new ROG Ally Xbox X looks great but its a 7" screen, other than that it ticks all the boxes, the Legion Go 2 gen 2 is just a crazy price but otherwise looks good, having owned the original go the detachable controllers dont interest me

Thanks for replay, I didn't realise there were so many options, the PC handhelds are more popular then I realised. I am tempted.

These Z2 handheld are just too expensive for the relatively small performance uplift.. At the moment anyway.
I agree but had the msi claw a8 not felt so cheap and had not had the worst haptic feedback ever I’d of been happy to keep it legion s z2 go will do me for now, I did actually have a legion go s z1 extreme 32gb coming but cancelled as it wasn’t really far off the Z2e machine, if I was going to use it regularly then fair enough, it’ll be like my drones never get used , sell them and then buy another one……
