Kind of tangential to this thread but anyone else have this kind of experience? someone reminded me yesterday of the days when I used to play football for my school's B team - which I captained and knew the rules inside out and if I do say so myself was tactically astute (we often beat better teams despite the odds) - but it feels like another lifetime now in my mid 40s and I'd struggle to tell you the rules and when I watch football it doesn't pop-out what formation and tactics, etc. are in play, I just don't even feel like the same person LOL.
A few days ago I was digging through my old stuff trying to find some certificates and came across some of my old sciences course work and it feels like the work of someone else - I don't remember ever having that level of insight or knowledge on subjects though I can follow along it is an order of magnitude more advanced than I ever remember being capable of - some of it I don't remember writing at all except it is in my hand writing and style so I assume I did
