This Instant And Moment - 2025!

My cat killed a rather large rat this morning and left it on the lawn. When I went out (wife thought it was a big mouse) to check, the cat ran up looking very pleased with himself.

It has since disappeared, possibly into the cat.

I remember with the old pond having to remove a drowned rat.. big.. and the one that's gone past the pond a couple of times was a good 30cm body length... actually it was a tile length for the body and that's 30cm.

It was all I wanted and more.
By far and away my favourite all time artist.

Well in a career which really struggles to surprise me anymore, today I got one of those ever rarer surprises. We've got a charity gala taking place at work today and it's genuinely like one of the bond film things. We've all been turned up to 11 to make sure it all goes well, but this morning I got my first glimpse of the setup and it's absolutely phenomenal. Now that the covers are off I can reveal that it's George Clooney and his foundation, so the place will be crawling with celebrities.

My flight to Gatwick just landed at the 4th attempt... in Stansted...

When that happens, what do they do for people who

1 - has a connection to make
2 - car parked at the other airport
3 - other transport booked.

Do they even arrange a bus service to the other airport?

Was quite a drive home, not too much wind yet but the rain was insane - wipers at max and when I couldn't have main beams on was not great for visibility of the road ahead - could see the surroundings OK but with the amount of water constantly on the windscreen it was difficult to see standing water in the dark.

Woke up at the rude hour of 6am this morning by my alarm set so I could go to the tip and beat the queue.

They made an announcement they'd try to arrange something but they probably couldn't and they'd pay for whatever means of transport we wanted to use to get there: taxi, train, whatever (their words). I'm getting a very expensive taxi, we'll see.

Due to weather so no compensation due.

Just had my flu vaccine and felt slightly exasperated that I'm no longer under the criteria for covid.

I will be going to the hospital once a week for 6 weeks in the next month or so, to have a catheter inserted to deliver antibiotics straight into my bladder (extremely painful and I'm dreading it) so I will almost certainly pick up bugs whilst I'm there :(

Same here, I went for my annual check, BP etc., and I was offered the 24 hour shoulder ache at the same time. Previously due a week hence.
My new years resolution will be avoid hospitals at any cost but will see how that works out after this years mini stroke and aneurism in my right eye.
:)
