Movies you re-watch more than you should?

Alien and Aliens
Ghostbusters
1980-1990 Arnie stuff
The Martian
Fast and furious franchise, prefer the later ones
Most things with Jason Straham
Startrek originals up to TNG, Nothing with JJ Abram’s
Uncle buck
Trading places
Coming to America
Dune
Iron Eagle
Kingsman

Loads more than don’t immediately come to mind.

The Warriors.

It's probably the only film I've watched on consecutive nights, multiple times too. I love the grimy 1970s New York aesthetic. The extended intro with the Coney Island ferris wheel blurring into view, menacing synth music, the snippets of dialogue and train scenes is superb, and always gives me a sense of anticipation.

And to @BillHicksRIP's point above, the Bourne Identity (Supremacy and Ultimatum too).

These are some of the movies I revisit.

Cape Fear
Local Hero
Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse
Outland
Salem's Lot 1979
Dragon Tattoo series

I used to know someone that watched Flash EVERY night at least once - this went on for years, so god knows how many VHS tapes he went through. Obviously someone in need of therapy :D

I could barely make it through 2001 once, let alone multiple times. Horses for courses, I guess. People must see something in it that I’m just not getting.

Critics did that when it first came out too - walked out of the showings not having a clue what was going on.

After a lot of reading and rewatching it makes more sense, and the future predictions it made (video calling on tablets, AI going rogue, rotating space stations and lunar transfers etc) in a film made before we actually landed on the Moon make it a fascinating watch.

The sequel was a lot more of a normal film!

There are a few films which if I see they on on telly that night, or if I'm flicking through channels and happen upon them, I have to watch them. The films are:

Where Eagles Dare
Kelly's Hero's
A Fistful of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More
The Good The Bad and The Ugly

Top Bottom
