It's too hot :(

18 or 19c in South Devon yesterday, warm enough for a long swim in the sea which I did for about 40 mins, latest date in the season I've done so. Very cold initially but just fine after getting used to it quite quickly. Still some good weather this week too.

Storm dodging at Hawkers cove , sheltered from.that high winds , even a few windsurfers out, weekend weather seems to be pants lately but I enjoy it whatever unless it's days and days of non stop rain

wind is causing me to be grumpy, when's summer?

Starts later next week, high pressure moving in which should bring some warmth in the day but colder nights. At the moment it looks to hang around for 7-10 days...still uncertain as to the longevity of the high pressure as October throws all kind of deep lows and ex hurricanes our way.

Jesus christ is autumn never to start? 18c last night too hot for a duvet and it takes a storm to bring a little bit of rain overnight, after that its back to bloody drought again for the next two weeks! We'll be collecting bottled water from pallets next summer because the taps will have run dry

oh well typical October I suppose.
It's really not.

Bit windy here, so I guessed must be stormy elsewhere, yep.
It seems there needs to be a storm in UK somewhere, for it to get windy enough to move my curtains.
Also first rain for about a month or so.

The ECM precipitation charts show no rain for most of the UK between October 8th until the end of the run on October 17th.

Some south western parts of wales and cornwall/devon may see rain for a day briefly but currently that's it.

It's just about right for me on the south coast, but I still only have a sheet on the bed as it's way too hot for a duvet :p.
