It's definitely an oversimplification of the situation to just blame Amorim, but ultimately there will be a manager who can get a better tune out of this set of players.
I don't personally feel he's doing everything he can to get results, there are certain things he refuses to change - which is his right - and that will cost him his job.
The Athletic made an
interesting video where they explain the stats from this season, and the upshot is our high XG is because the players shoot as quickly as they can, and the wingbacks are totally ineffective supporting the attack. Therefore the whole thing falls apart. And of course, the midfield is non-existent most of the time...
