Any new affordable OLEDs on the horizon?

Over the last year i’ve almost pulled the trigger on one of the handful OLEDs that drop down to £500 or less but i’ve always decided against it for a couple of reasons. One is the fact that they’re all QD-OLED and the reviews always seem to complain that blacks tend to look purple in anything other than a dark room which is a problem for me because my PC is in my living room right by the window (there’s really nowhere else it can go) and poor blacks seems to defeat the purpose of having an OLED. The second is the poor text clarity (I do a fair bit of report writing) although as long as it’s legible i’m sure i’d cope.

I’m hoping there might be some new panels getting released that address these issues in monitors at the lower end of the price range?

Edit: I forgot to mention VRR flicker often being mentioned in reviews as well.

QD-OLED is the way forward for monitors imo, however if you are in a very bright room a lot of the time it can become a hindrance

If heard a few reviews saying that the text clarity is fine on the new QD-OLED 27" 4K monitors though there's apparently still some colour fringing on the 32" 4K models. I do a lot of text based work on my monitors so wouldn't want anything where it was going to be noticeably poorer than an IPS/VA panel.

It's sounding like any new OLED monitors are still a ways off into next year unfortunately. Personally I'm planning on waiting until Xmas to treat myself to a new 27" 4K QD-OLED if there's nothing else out on the market by then.

I was thiking the same until I realised that money should go towards the eventual 8k monitor purchase, which is pretty steep at just over £4k, it's only IPS, but I have a soft spot for IPS, the colours look to me like the colours that the content makers want you to see, idk why but IPS just seems a little more proffesional to me, so, I'm happy to stick with my IPS4k monitor until then

save up a bit more and get a used, very good one from elsewhere
that's what we did for my son's 1440 true OLED monitor, zero complaints ,vivid colour, and inky blacks

That does look pretty good actually although rtings does mention the VRR flicker issue but i've no idea how noticeable i'd find it.
It's always a difficult decision and as for flicker there mite be firmware updates that help but you could end up with flicker in higher cost monitors .

Can u link rtings for the Asrock monitor I couldn't find it, tx.
