This Instant And Moment - 2025!

Ugh. Just walked through a massive spider's web. Don't care about spiders it's just that horrid feeling all over your face I hate!

Seems my Pixel 4XL which has been a rock (even though its an old phone) and has no further security updates, but has been solid, is maybe finally getting some issues.

The battery meter is not functioning, which is a known bug

Maybe new phone time.

Can't think of what to cook. So it might be beef burgers and chillied beans.

I am very good at DIY and do a better job than most "tradesmen"....

However I absolutely ******* hate it.

@potatolord signed up to another comp. English open in November. It's a Biggie :o

Why do I do this to myself?

Because you love it.

My back's rubbish at the moment, but i'm still going.

We had a new load of beginners last week. You don't appreciate the importance of skill until you fight a raw beginner.

It's not even skill- pacing is something you have to learn.

I find it a good time to practice things that I don't normally do with new people. But they're so unpredictable it's actually quite realistic as to what it's like having a scrap with someone who doesn't know anything.

We do striking as well and at one of the classes a newbie who had only ever done "street fighting" got well and truly humbled. But... He parked his ego and has become a really good sparring partner and is turning up and putting that work in.

Sorry to hear about your back. I'm like a plank mainly so I struggle sometimes against the fast flexible youths but I have old man/dad strength and experience so that always helps.

It's great training with beginners: they're far more real and always up for a scrap. Most of them come in hard and it takes them a while to learn that has it's place, but isn't everything.

I went to a few striking classes in our club and that was ok. I should probably go back, but time...

It was the chiro who wrecked my back, not the jitz. It's been a few weeks now, and not improving much.

Finally in the new house now. Gotta get some electrical work done and then it's painting.

Got a new selection of kitchen appliances on order, so be fun to fit everything and it all be new.

To decide, whether to keep the catio the house came with, or remove it. I don't have cats, I kind of want a cat.

[Free speech] Am I the only one totally desensitised or insensitive to palestinian demonstrations? [/free speech].

I remember reading about a 'trick' on here maybe 5 or so years ago that I thought I'd see if it still worked. Paid £1 for travel insurance to London for a day to get a years worth of Meerkat benefits (2-4-1 on Cinema tickets, 50% off Dominos, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns and 25% off meals out/cafe Nero)

Still worked. Felt like a decent bargain.
