Need a good laptop for £350

Asking on behalf of my sister who has just started uni and needs a good performing laptop for her studies, essay writing, Teams, Aula, uni course work, research and what not. And has to have good battery life.

It depends on your definition of good

This is what £400 gets you on ocuk
Its B grade which means you can make an offer
Lower than the amount it's listed for
But yes £350 is cutting it fine for a "good" laptop

Tried contacting your work IT team?

Sometimes they will have 4/5 year old laptops theyve swapped out that are probably in good nick they might let you buy.

Ive just got one for my daughter for school work. Lenovo e15 10th gen i7 16gb ram and a 512gb ssd with a windows key, 65w usb-c charger and its still got 8 months of manufacturer warrenty on it. 150 nicker

Its not new, but theyve done a fresh install on it to take it off the company domain, given it a good clean and blow out with an air compressor and for something thats going to get thrown around in a backpack for a few years itl do even if it probably wont play crisis

Sometimes they will just tell you off
But not worth the risk of being jailed

And yeah it really comes down to the definition
Of what's a good laptop
Doesn't sound like they need it for anything
Very intensive

When my partner wants a new laptop
I tell her to look at £400 upwards
So 400 would be my starting point for a half decent laptop
The fact they all have solid state hard drives nowadays
Really helps a lot with performance luckily
