Hi,

The review online from the retailer voxi to buy a phone, which apparently is a 3rd party company of vodafone,

reviews of this site look bleak, very bad customer services, however, they seem to have better deals on handset - -

e.g. the pixel 9a for £313 - coupled with a £10 a month PAYG sim, apparently even though you cannot speak with them on the phone (no customer services number) the only option is a chat agent

speaking with them, they said that after the purchase of the phone, you cancel out of the £10 a month payg sim you have to purchase with the phone

Do i give voxi a go to purchase the pixel 9a? which will cost me £323 which includes their £10 payg sim, which could be cancelled (apparently according to them)

Voxi usually gets 1 out of 5 stars on reviews

or shall i pay £369 and get a handset from metrofone.co.uk

a site which has 4.5 out of 5 stars on reviews

Anyone used voxi before?

Yep, I did this for both my and wife's Pixel 8s, I actually fumbled the cancellation on one and left it a handful of months by mistake, mainly because it was under her name/payment etc. As soon as I clocked it I went on and got it cancelled, wasn't the most straightforward though as it asks you to register/activate it in order to access services. You can just chat your way through an online agent and explain the situation though, not too challenging.

So basically they said:
1. It's not a "contract" it's PAYG
2. You pay £10 for the first month (which we knew already)
3. Recontact chat again once you get the phone to cancel the PAYG agreement

So £323 (£313 + £10), is it that hard?
Even if it takes you 5 months (well, 5.9 months for the pedant) to cancel the Voxi PAYG agreement, that's still cheaper than getting it through metrofone (£313 + £50 = £363, vs £369)

ok ill look at ordering the 9a through voxi, unless i can convince myself not to by the 9pro

Useless, the said i would have to wait for the phone to be sent back, they will issue a refund, then i have to order a new phone, im guessing this will take 3-5 days, in the meantime the Pixel 9a handset for £313 from voxi, the deal is expiring in 5 days, and will likely go back up to £499 instead of £313

they wont do a shipping and collection /swap,

Voxi have sent me the wrong colour phone!
How do you know that purple doesn't identify as the obsidian black? #checkyourpronouns

Sorry, I couldn't resist :D

Sorry that you've had a bad time though, typical that this happens with a company that you've not dealt with before :(

Bah, im going to have to place a new order, then this one will be returned and re-funded, the refund could take between 10 and 25 days

So thats £646 that i will be shelling out with a pending £323 refund to come

Why don't you just get one of those tacky cringe wraps of Linus' face from Dbrand for it instead?
