With pre-orders now available it seems like a good time to start a thread.

I have Xbox Game Pass and I know I get the lowest tier for free with it but curious if it is worth upgrading to one of the other editions for early access.

I think all Game Pass members and anyone ordering even the standard (£70 one) on Xbox or PS gets the early access beta. You don't need to upgrade to Vault edition.

fyi, I pre-ordered the PS5 version.

Is there going to be an option to disable those ridiculous skins? I haven't played COD in quite a few years but I was tempted to pick up blops 6 recently until I learned you couldn't switch off the obnoxious skins

I doubt it, but you can terminate the people that choose to wear them with extreme prejudice which is rather satisfying.

I only play zombies, so at most I will see 3 other players with skins and they are all teammates. I can live with it.

They're easier to spot/kill, as well ;)
I must admit, when I played Grief mode (team zombies sort of 4v4) I go straight for anyone wearing the unicorn skin 1st. It's really garish and they stand out a country mile!

Wont be buying, I think im fully done with the franchise at this point. Just gone in a bad direction overall and dont even have the time to sink into it anymore

I'll be giving this a try because it's on Game Pass. It looks like a cross between BO2 and BO3 which isn't a bad thing as both of those were excellent.
I just hope it has better maps than BO6 as the crap, and mostly tiny, maps are what ruined that game for me.

I tried out the beta and thought it was pretty good. The game is essentially BO6 but with much better maps.
Treyarch also introduced a reduced SBMM playlist and it was absolutely fantastic. I'd get into matches within a few seconds and my ping would be consistent in all games. No more having the matchmaking system rig your games if you did well for a couple of matches, it was back to how COD used to be.
It just showed how strict their matchmaking system has been. It also showed that Activision are lying buggers as they released a document saying that "ping is king" but it's now clear to everybody that skill takes precedent over everything when matchmaking.

This is game is going to launch with matchmaking that has minimal skill consideration and there will also be no disbanding lobbies. Seems that Activision are very worried about BF6 stealing players from them.
