About 363W which makes sense, 330W + 10%

During a test I just did in Helldivers, GPU clock speed is typically 3250-3350, with some occasional drops when everythings going on to ~3100. Seems good to me if it remains stable!

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 appear to be favoring AMD RDNA 4 GPUs very much. In an early benchmark, the RX 9070 XT takes a huge lead over RTX 5070 Ti.

COD has always favoured AMD GPUs, I recall when warzone first released, my 3080 was being rinsed by mates with the 6800XT.

Just got my 9070xt Nitro+ I'm replacing a RX6800 so assume I can just drop it in and not do anything with drivers?

Best practice is to remove the drivers. Shutdown pc replace card and install new drivers.

Cheers @eeii I used to use DDU when changing from Team red to green but wasn't sure when going AMD to AMD. I'll do the same now.

Naaa you don’t need to use DDU. I would download the driver first. And disconnect the internet as windows update can make a right dogs dinner of things.

im fairly sure the 6xxx series and 9xxx series both use the same drivers
only looked into this the last few days as im about to add a 6500xt to a system that has a 9070xt in as well and happily noticed they would be on the same drivers
doesnt mean il be able to bung the 6500xt in and it will just work alongside the 9070xt without issues but it does make me more confident it shouldnt be too much hassle it running both side by side at least

I went from a 6900XTU to a 9070XT Nitro+. Used original graphics drivers and have not had any issues. Make sure you give the card a nice undervolt and a slight overclock and you'll be very impressed.

Uninstall drivers, reboot, install drivers.

Just install teh new card, and it will work fine - adrenalin will just recognise it auto-magically.
it's a unified driver package, (or certainly upgrading from 6xxxx to 9xxxx) so you don't need to do anything.

I noticed some odd behaviour with LACT. I found that if I didn't hit "reset" before making changes they didn't seem to be applied. There have been a few patches to it on Cachy but I haven't had chance to retest. Not sure if it is a bug or a feature

LACT seems to be editing the file correctly (power1_cap), but the card still seems to throttle ~340W.

That’s very impressive.

Absolute worst I've seen it is a bit above 3GHz, and that's with everything in effect under the sun including full RT, which I guess probably adds wider load to the GPU, draws more power, and means it has to clock down a bit compared to a less all out workload.

Happy with that though!

Yep, despite the same platform. DDU and a re-install of the drivers gave me the best results with the card.

Optiscaler has now over 420 games confirmed working according to the FSR4 compatibility list. Practically any game with DLSS/XESS/FSR3.1 can be injected with FSR4. Amazing piece of software.

The only games that don't work are Vulkan games since AMD hasn't released FSR4 support for Vulkan yet.

I had no idea it was the same driver. Remember driver cache on games with a differeing VRAM amount?
