Sold 5090 On eBay - Buyer says its faulty

I ordered something from OCUK which came via DPD. The delivery guy came to the door didnt ring the video door bell, didnt knock on the door just turned around and walked off logged it as no one in didnt leave card. We were in and it was recorded on our video doorbell and he actually looked at the video doorbell. Put a complaint in and sent them the video of their driver not knocking/ringing and got £25 compensation and an apology.

Yeah probably need to post this in a courier thread somewhere as prob be loads of examples :)

I have had several DPD delivery's marked as "delivery attempted" When my cameras show no one even coming near my house to attempt delivery.
DPD did give me compensation one time and another they sent me a cookie.

I’ve only had one slightly dodgy experience selling on EBay … I think I’ve been a bit lucky.
I sold a known working motherboard / CPU / memory as a set - feedback from the buyer was “It Won’t Boot”.

Multiple emails later … asking about the PSU and other stuff … finally it turns out that the first thing the buyer did was remove the CPU I sent and replace it with his own.

He put back the CPU that I sent out and it worked perfectly.

Glad it all worked out ok for you.

I sold a CPU on eBay a long time ago. The buyer received it, took it to a well known retailer to have it installed and they told the buyer it was faulty.

The bios defaulted it to something like 400Mhz instead of 1Ghz. I explained how to resolve it, the buyer was happy and couldn't believe the retailer didn't know something so simple.

I was for sure thinking that this was gonig to end badly.

I just tried to seel something on the bay and they no longer wanted it after buying it and so requested a cancel and that ment that i owed the shipping label cost allready. so i payed £3 todo sweet FA. never again.

I had the same with a 5090 FE. Guy said it wasn't detected/working. I tried to assist him to get it working, i was sure it juat wasn't seater correctly in the pcie slot. Anyway he ended up returning it and it worked fine. He agreed to pay return postage which was fair but i was out of pocket for my postage.
