——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

These issues specifically EA app related? EA I recall has always been pants. So glad the steam version doesn't need to run EA app in the background like Rockstar launcher etc.

Working here now. Had to force delete the install folder, then reinstalled again, deselecting the single player. Let it install etc then ran it. Seems OK now. No update to EA app.

Does anyone know how to sort out the pitching in the heli? I can't stand inverted and it's all set to off but the pitching is reversed so down is up and up is down, it's driving me nuts I'm sure this was a problem in the beta as well.

Played alpha access
Played open beta

I'm playing Battlefield 6 and I'm getting horrendous motion sickness like my eyes can't focus. When I pan the screen around or play, I'm seeing motion blur which is disabled turned OFF in game. It's really awful to play

DLSS playing up? I’ve seen it look shocking once or twice in other games.

Pretty seamless experience for me. Bought it on Steam and it worked straight off the bat. One minor gripe with this game and BF2042 is you can’t cap the fps in the menus to 60 or if you can I can’t see it. Could be a skill issue on my part.

Pay for EA pro - download BF6 - secure boot needed, waste lots of time in bios, not possible/compatible, uninstall

Ok so just played a couple of rounds and man it's so fast paced and smooth, Running on Overkill settings and it looks very good with seemingly excellent netcode which was expected anyway.

The curious thing is that my 12700KF is being fully utilised around 85% on average the whole time whilst the GPU is around the same although I have framerate capped to 120 max. The game runs +100fps at all times with DLSS enabled. The optimisation appears to be truly excellent even if I am CPU limited at these settings, I can just whack everything up and let the 4090 do its thing. Note that online it uses 14GB of VRAM just by the game alone, so 16GB inc OS and BG apps is the norm.

Not using Frame Gen.

Screenspace reflections on water don't jank out here either which is interesting, atmosphere and volumetrics are great.

Battlefield is back!

I get full CPU usage on my 9500X3D: hungry on CPU!

Just booted game up and seems to be working now on EA, dont know if the fix made it work or they have just sorted it out.

Some of you guys can whinge and moan, "told you so", and I can also find trivial faults. It is an "easy win", dumb down on negativity, post it on a forum.

This is launch day. The servers are working, the game plays well, it is optimised for most current systems, and it is a damn good game: embrace the change...

Actually nice to see, it's not bogging down because it's well optimised, exactly how all game engines should be, frametimes are perfect, latency is great, framerates are high, if only all games utilised CPU to this sort of degree.

Played it few hours tonight, zero issues getting into any game been fab enjoyed it as played with some mates, did a few different modes.

I like the changes they have made since the beta.

CPU usage always seems to be high though, 90+% on 11700k granted its an old cpu now

God some of you just love to moan. Been working with no issues for me since 4pm on steam. For people that bought it on the ea app has anyone tried isolating the EQ and then centralising the bandwidth?

I've only played around 20mins.

How on earth do you revive? I press the e button, I grab the soldier but then nothing happens. If I press e again it release the soldier I'm holding.

Simonb1471 on youtube isn't a fan, no surprise as he hated the "beta"

I ended up getting a refund on EA and playing on Steam.
EA app issues aside, what a game and what a release. Servers have been fantastic and the gameplay and modes are brilliant.
