Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Cheers man, yeah it's not overly expensive just solid hear, I mean the amp was a mates and picked that up for £150 some years back, does all the latest DTSX and Atmos etc, nothing here overly insane at all and all does the job nicely without breaking the bank. The TV obviously was the most expensive bit tbh, but even that for the size was an amazing "bargain" a couple of years back and gives such a fantastic picture. Wanted QDOLED but the problem was to get anything in my size was just disgraceful pricing so... went QNED instead and never looked back tbh.

Yeah cheers appreciated. Yeah never used them before and just wanted something solid... and thought you know what I'll give a UK company a go... and ended up here... got them off eBay and I'll be honest one tiny mark the guy who'd looked after them realllly did. They sound great though really impressed and for the money (I paid £250) I cannot compain and they suit my room. As for the REGA 1 yeah, annoyingly the new Planar 1+ has a phono stage integrated as I had to get a phono stage amp as this Denon doesn't have phono connectors like my cinema room so it wouldn't work when I brought it into the living room lol

Use pure direct mode on your xenon for the record player input

@hornetstinger what's the reason you won't share pictures of your full setup? Legit question.
If it's anything like some of the IT guys i've worked with, and i'm sure everyone knows the sort, then it's probably a complete sty as their focus and money goes all in on their hobby/PC etc and housework/decor isn't even on their mind - each to their own and all that. I'm still amazed a picture was posted though

Not sure when I last updated my current kit.

Denon 3800
Monitor audio Apex a10 as LR
A40 center
Mass gen 1 on rear
Cambridge audio minx 22 height
REL strata 2 sub

Love this system, wasn’t sure on the a10 at first but after purchasing the app to eq the denon I’m happy.

Yes you can adjust midrange compensation, where the room eq stops correction.

Typically 300hz is good stopping point. I've used the wiim ultra with umik1.

That demon supports dual subs so look for another strata. Or get a minidsp hd then you can have four stratas ;)

Multiple subs flatten response as well as giving headroom.

Got some new speakers for my garden hideaway. Bit big but could not resist as they were so cheap. For context the TV is 55 inch :D

I've got the smaller versions of those. Those are the 4.2? I can see Audiolab integrated (a C?) Rega Planet 2000 (I had one of those also)

If possible checkout the Q pre amp it's a lot better than the C

oh theose Kef have room compensation switch it's in the speaker terminal a reversable grub screw, so if you get too much bass flip it around on both speakers

Almost right. The Rega is an Apollo. It is an audiolab c with an Audiolab 8300 xp power amp.
I was looking for the model 3.2 but got thease for £550 and they are immaculate no marks at all
Going to look at a do it all preamp to get rid of the DAC and Bluetooth decoder, something along the lines of the Audiolab 9000Q

Well we know your priorities :D

I've replaced my amp & speakers with a couple of Naim Muso's over the years (1 & 2). I still can't get over just how good these things sound for the price.

I still have my older kit though, but it's been relegated to the office (nad & some b&w 602's from my uni days).

Just pressed the buy button on one these. A Rel S/812. I should have it next Sunday :)

All set up running very well now. This sub has such a big impact on the whole listening experience, i simply must get another S812 to pair with it.
The impact it has is quite stunning. It gives the sound so much more body, soundstage, sharpness and attack. I would never have believed it unless i had heard it myself.
The Sopra N2's were already an eyeopener, the Rel just takes things to another level.

If you have ability run rew sweep to see subwoofer response, and whether subwoofer peq is needed. Also helps to determine phase

Adding a second sub would need a minidsp to get them phase aligned to each other then phase aligned to the speakers.

It helped my subwoofer setup

I presume you're using high level so unsure how you'd do that, as minidsp is low level only
