EDIT: Oh...they announced an EV.
Well mainly because they said revenue would be lower than analysts expected. They've also scaled back their EV ambitions, from 40% by 2030 to only 20%...
 
EVs are still a tad early, give it another 10 years and were solar is more wide spread and free to run the EVs and they will be more attractive. especially if their prices come down and we have better battery tech.

The money will be in the companies behind the tech though, where it's applied to other things. Not the car makers.

So looks like Trump and his mates really did do another dump and pump.

I suppose if you are bitter about not getting the nobel prize, may as well console yourself with a few billion in market manipulation.
 
They aren't the first. Clearly EVs don't make money.
It’s more that they can’t compete with Chinese EVs. That’s a more general statement for European made cars vs Chinese made ones rather than Ferrari specifically.

as i understand it from an article i read see below, china is mass producing to meet targets not demand so over producing and cant sell them
