55” TV £800 budget

Looking for the above don’t really want to stretch the budget beyond that as it already seems plenty to spend on a TV.

Have been tempted by this Panasonic TV-55Z80A it’s last years model and is £799 at a lot of places which seems very good for an OLED.

And have now seen this which I think is a better TV and a good deal?

Any recommendations greatly received Will mostly be used for watching TV series and movies and the kids Switch.

I'd probably pick the LG out of those two but its not a particularly great deal. Not many deals on right now it seems.

Not a great deal - I paid just over £700 for the 65" version of that about 6 weeks ago!

If you ask nicely in live chat you might get a 10% discount code (which stacks with the discount for having an LG account)

Do you need it now? I'd wait until Black Friday in a month and try to get an LG C4 for your budget, or a cheaper B4.

Thanks both, it's so hard to know A whats a good TV and B whats a decent price the market seems cluttered with similar sounding models and loads of jargon at the minute. Was so much easier when I got the Panasonic Plasma this will replace as back then it was simply a case of pick the right size Panasonic unless you could afford a Kuro!

To an extent I think it's now similar with LG. Budget dependent, the B or C series is the right TV for 75% of people.

Sign up to hotukdeals and stick an alert for tv’s - all the best deals will pop up on there. As mentioned, now’s not the best time to buy a tv - the summer sales have ended and retail is gearing up for the chrimbo run in. If you can hold off till BF or xmas/new year deals you’re ££‘s will go further.

Quick scan shows earlier this year the LG B4 55" was going for bargain basement prices, sub £500.

I’m going to hang fire as suggested, the LG link I posted jumped up £150 a few hours after I shared it which smacks to me of getting ready to make it look even more of a deal in a few weeks time.
