——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

I'm using a 3090 and 4k.
CPU is 5800X3D

Terrain/mesh/textures at ultra, everything else at high. XESS as the AA option and I get 100fps average si can't complain.

I did a few hours of play last night in a squad with my son, me on PC and he's on PS5, and I found some frustrating stuff on my side.
  • It often felt my gun was firing blanks - so many times I'm multi click burst firing zoomed in on opponents and it appears like nothing is happening. Felt like I should have got the kill but didn't.

  • I was getting shot and killed when clearly behind a wall and out of line of sight. This happened many times. I would retreat to cover behind a wall and then die with the red outline of the person that killed me a long way behind the wall.

Overall we are liking it so far.
We are both completely new to Battlefield so there is lots to learn but getting there

Hmm. I didn't have that issue with the level, but the usual space bar to ascend, ctrl to descend and then left mouse to drop bombs on the enemies is what I used. Although tbh the drone doesn't last long due to it being targeted by the enemy so quickly. Presumably a reload of the level doesn't fix it?
Nope. Neither did repairing game files and rebooting :(

Had exactly the same thing last night, player was afk and shot him like 20 times with penetration bullets on SGX , Nothing, literally no damage

Hit reg is bad, nobody should be surviving multiple shots with an LMG lol, they seem weaker than the assault and smg weapons.

They really need to push the closed weapon modes more, otherwise the games are no longer battlefield esque.

Also this is interesting

"
Excellent job showing how the VRAM overfills after a certain amount of play time. 10:25 this is indeed a huge issue with too little VRAM that is also apparent in many many other games and is not covered by benchmarks at all. Very important that people know about this. It is a case of having a bad experience when actually playing the games and not benchmarking them. So thank you Steve. "

So the game also suffers from VRAM overload

I had a few big stutters, nearly half a second or so, after about 3 hours of rock solid play (5700x3d, 32GB RAM and RX 9070). Should be easy enough to patch

weird I do not get this but all the base guns are garbage before you get any unlocks

bullets will penetrate some walls if its concentrated fire which is a good thing tbh

Anyone experiencing the textures being really muddy/grainy when zooming into th distance via sniper? It's like it's not rendering a new scheme and simply magnifying the lower resolution "background" image.

Been playing this for over 10 hours now.

Took a while to get running correctly but now averaging over 150-164fps (Cap) on High details @ 1440.

I'm enjoying it, but coming from 2042 I miss the big maps. I'm also slightly disappointed that there is hardly any new maps from the Beta.

This goes right back to the early days of BF3. I do recall it improved eventually

Had a great session last night. Focused on getting a handle on guns and learning the maps much more. Gradually recovering my KD that had tanked over the weekend.

- even with rank 20 attachments, click firing and (I think) decent recoil control the bloom and hit reg do seem wonky at times. Shotguns especially.

- some map design is just stupid for example Phase 2 on Columbia heights objective b is less than 5 steps from the defender zone.

- I wish they’d mixup the playlists. Playing the attack/defend playlist all night and 0 rush games.

I had the same issue, put it on 'Overkill' because I like to max out graphics, it would run fine at ~100fps maxed out on a 1440p ultrawide then in other maps I'd get ~50fps and stutter like mad.

Only realised what was happening when I went into settings and saw the VRAM went way over the max and it warned that my CPU performance would be reduced.

I now just keep everything on Ultra and it's fine now at around 120fps with no FG or upscaling. Running a 5700X and RX 9070 XT here.

What upscaling are you using? Noticed something similar but swapping to either DLSS quality or DLAA sorted it.

Nice - we should friend up !
We have similar systems too :)

found something that might explain loads of peoples gripes about bullets not hitting targets if you use non class specific weapons they are designed to be all over the shop accuracy wise

sniper shots on the target range missing ect

No upscaling used as it forces frame gen on with horrible latency.
you might need to raise in game sharpness one of my friends was talking about this solving some of his issues

but with fsr4 native instead of TAA and sharpening tool at 80% not had this issue

You can use upscaling without framegen, there are 2 toggles one for each.
Even with frame gen off in the menu, it's in by default if you use an upscaling technology. May be a bug but it's widely reported, the only way to have FG off if with no upscaling

Have sharpness down to 20 at the moment, at default 50 the noise from sharpening was far too visible, will have playater and grab some screen shots.
