The drones cruise at 232ft, carrying burgers and chips, fresh meat and eggs, with the packages dropped on a biodegradable string, but locals call the noise "very stressful" and compare it to helicopters.

eeek!

Can’t see this ever succeeding. They’re noisy, probably struggle in poor weather and not every residence will have a convenient drop location.

The noise being ‘very stressful’? Not sure I’m buying that.
sometimes drones can sound like a hornet/bee for a second before you realise what it is, kinda annoying

cant be that eco friendly batteries have a limited life span, especially the kinds these are surely using

be good if your wealthy and live somewhere where everyone has space between the houses and big gardens

i think as ever, crims have already used this for getting stuff into prison (not burgers I suspect) resulting in a whole lot of anti drone measures being needed.

2027 Prediction - All firearms, air rifles, archery equipment and similar will be banned, as people start using them to shoot down drones to get a free meal... followed by a massive sales rise in home made catapults, fishing nets and rods, microfilaments, etc. Most Goggled terms become "GPS Hack", "radio jamming" and "home-made EMP".

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/729101 this seems a bit sus now

You can make pretty powerful ones from a baloon, a dining fork and a bit of wood. S'true... Saw it on YouTube....

What kind of crack shot is sniping a flying drone.
One who waits for it to stop moving, or descending slowly at point of delivery....
Besides, these things would make pretty large targets, if they're big enough to carry so much as a 10-piece bargain bucket, 4 fries, a Zinger™ meal and a 2l bottle of Diet Pepsi.

These are large drones about size of a wheel barrow. Bigger than you think. Sounds like someone mowing a lawn a street over when passing near by at height. When hovering over your garden come down lower and sound like your standing right beside a lawn mower. But that's only when it's delivering.

The company unstates the nuisance and objectors over state it.

They argue some people are being overflown hundreds of times a day. No idea if that's true. Some of the videos sounds like B17 bombers so I assume they boosted the sound levels. They aren't as quiet as the company says either.

The world hardly needs fast food delivery by drone though.
