Has anyone complained to Jet2 before?

Ive never understood people who book package holidays.
Until a self booked holiday goes wrong and you have no ABTA protection. You also have the reps to help sort any issues - if there's delays, cancellations etc - it's on you to sort.

Plus for some people, it's an easier process.

It’s a good option for a lot of people, you book one package that includes your flight, transport, hotel, food/drink and gives a rep to contact if something isn’t to your liking.

I like to book direct and hire cars to get about but the few times I’ve booked packages, they’ve always been fine, never seen a rep or needed to speak with one.

We booked a no fuss Tui holiday in the Caymans a few years ago just to get away, the flights were cancelled coming back due to the weather so Tui put us up in a 5 star resort for the night, paid for the meals and gave us compensation without asking. Can’t argue with that.

Cause it makes things a million miles easier when things go wrong, and often it cheaper than booking the same hotel and flights separately.

I'm currently looking at going to Vegas and booking a package flights and hotel with Virgin is a good bit cheaper than sorting them individually.

Why?

The very first time we didn't book a package holiday, we were dumped at Luxor airport with zero chance of getting home for a week because of the Iceland volcano. It was that stressful i cried several times.

Thats what travel insurance is for which you get for free with most banks.

We did have travel insurance but absolutely no way could we get through to them from Luxor for 4 days.
A package holiday would have had it all sorted immediately.
We sat in Luxor airport basically on our own for 8 hours and eventually got through to one of my daughters who was doing a degree in travel at the time.
She contacted somebody and gave us some good advice which was appreciated.

I've self booked many holidays in the past but booked a package holiday with Jet2 last year. Thought they were really well organised and made everything a breeze to be honest. Would use them again without a second thought.
