It's Friday so someone we all know will spout off again about tariffs etc and the market will tank. Never buy shares on a Friday!

I think some of my biggest wins have been from buying stuff that's unnecessarily rekd on a Friday, knowing it will all blow over and bounce back by Monday
Surely you mean "buy shares on Friday" if the market gets tanked.

Problem with MVST at this price is the China / CCP risk. One bad bit of press from Trump or China and it's down. Although this week is hasn't quite played to that playbook which is interesting

It's a Trump thing.
Decided to take my 40% profit from D-wave and step back for a bit. I was getting obsessed checking T212 multiple times a day!
I'm thinking of taking some profit too. Wondering if we are due a correction. Once it turns it'll turn fast
The issue with these stocks is it's very very hard to guess trading dips (where it drops and recovers) vs full on corrections. Daily swings can easily be 10-20 percent. If it is a correction then by time you wait until 25 percent (let's say), we'll, you've lost 25 pc.
That's why most sane people set profit takes for example!
I guess it is fear of missing out on a big surge that stops you from selling?

Hmm.. Robinhood.just showed me that my account may get flagged as a pattern day trader if i do two more trades before the 22nd. Anything to get around that?
Which is weird, as I am doing cash only. (Edit: ignore: I see i can switch to a Cash account specifically in some buried menu. ). I think this would mean i don't get settled till the next day. Not that big a deal.

its god phyc play if you think about it. people scrambling to get on top of things Friday knowing 2 days or poor stocks, those prepared win those not loose out. the stock market freeze and then recoveres monday when people have had time to think about whats been said

Not bad. But you'd miss out on the top.
Its bad practice to do what I do. But I like to use my isa for "the big win" on some stocks. That said, even though I've taken profit (I can't lose) when you your absolute value x40 you don't really want to lose half.
Yes, it's bad, s is allowing emotion into it. But hey ho.
I do heavy stops on it though. Because I'd rather not drop 50 percent. And it could easily drop 50 percent.

The share price does not tell you whether the stock is cheap or not, don't make that mistake.
