Do all of them have a BFI (MPRT Mode) like the video below for the

MSI MAG 272QP X50

by @Baddass

as I saw the AOC Agon model is cheapest at the moment but no idea if it would have such a feature or not.

If not easy selling point of course for the MSI and any other variants with the feature as 250Hz is achievable at least for 500Hz motion clarity.

Rather know ahead of time for once as that's the biggest selling point for me right now.

No they don’t I’m afraid. Asus have had it on their OLEDs for a while. MSI and Gigabyte have only just started to add it on their most recent models. You’d need to look out for MPRT mode and UltraClear modes respectively

I've managed to get the MSI MAG 272QP X50 for a great price with cashback involved.

So bit the bullet on that display, as I won't get one cheaper than that brand new even if I wait a few months for that Asus 540Hz display.

Excited to see how it performs with the MPRT settings as I can actually get games I'll play consistently hitting 500Hz motion clarity needing 250Hz 1440p.

9070XT maybe all that's needed potentially for a bunch of games.

Otherwise 5090 to max out visuals.

Hopefully get it before the end of the week

Been using it today stress testing Aorus Master + Suprim 5090's

MPRT mode halving the brightness is useable if not ideal.

Ran a few games natively and with the MPRT Mode + Frame Gen on games that have a 300fps cap.

And had a few black screens - assuming that's because of the use of DSC (or I need to do a firmware update)

For the price I got it at though - happy with the display, and naturally I'll be playing a lot of fps games/sports games with it, probably single player games also that use mfg should be on my radar also as it bumps up the 5090 utilisation rate when in use.

If you own a 480Hz Panel you can skip this round I think.

At this point there is very little reason to upgrade from beyond here until we hit 1000Hz displays I think, so should be future proofed for a loooooong time, displays with Gsync Pulsar (are they still coming?) would be interesting to use in comparisons.

Switching to display port 2.1 cable (even though it's a 1.4) display has fixed my black screen issue.

Just to add to this for anyone interested, MPRT definitely not bright enough for most games you'd want to use it in, so if like me that was a feature you wanted to use frequently, pass on this monitor.

I'll stick to the games where I can run the monitor in sdr/hdr and get acceptable performance brightness wise and get 500Hz natively (Valorant, CS2, RB6, and other such games) or with MFG (Battlefield 6) etc my performance stats with MFG seems no worse than playing natively in this game, even with the added latency because of using it.

Once Reflex 2 is out it'll be like native :D

Motion clarity wise, I like having it on for games that benefit from it, I think the worst performing game with it, was Indiana Jones and Alan Wake 2 from my experience.

Battlefield 6 I can't really tell (perhaps my DPI is high enough to compensate for any weirdness as I run at 4000)

I thought Reflex (1) was/is awesome, I use it whenever possible, and it's silky smooth.
I agree IJ felt awful. I tried it and it went straight back! I really hated how overly sensitive the controller input was as well? When you'd turn it down it'd feel weird in the polar opposite sense. TBF I'm glad though, as I was annoyed that wasn't done in third person, like Uncharted, I get there's bits of it that are great in 1st person, but there's a fair bit that really isn't too :P

I will have to use Reflex 2 then when it drops, never used it until now as far as I know. Good information to have, if we benefit from it.

I've used it in competitive MP FPS, and it's great, don't believe any cretin that claims you wont have the competitive edge etc, absolute ********.
I've used FSR/DLSS/Frame Generation/Anti Lag/Reflex on multiple PC's and 'only' a Wifi connection, and never once has any of it hindered me winning a match :)

Yeah my internet latency is the biggest culprit still probably for now, I use a 5G router, but ethernet to my PC and I get 20-30ms ping in most games.

Waiting for fibre to be installed in the next year hopefully and then get that down to under 10ms.

I think everything being optimised as much as you can control will help also.

I think the biggest benefit of the 500Hz is just the split second you may see an enemy before you, I think my sniping has benefited most from it, as I'm still average everywhere else, need to optimise my aiming with aimlabs trainer :) and find optimal settings again for myself.

Ah fair enough, yeah that'll be sweet once that's done then mate :)

I don't have amazing internet, and certainly don't have Wifi6E etc, my ping is around 8ms IIRC last time I checked.
Yeah definitely.
You sneaky swine, don't you dare go camping with a snipe, I despise campers :P you best be no scoping and running :D

Just to give an update to anyone buying the monitor potentially you gotta make use of AI Vision or Night Vision with MPRT to help boost the brightness (game changer) for utilising that feature, guess I should have tried it, but ignored it.

Now that mode is more useable :) but I can see a hint of flickering/strobing as the penalty in FC26 when there's fast movements (noticeable on the turf) but I wouldn't consider it annoying enough to turn off, much rather have that than the dim look I had before. Not had the issue show up in other games, so all good.

Reflex 2 (i.e. Frame Warp) isn't going to work with frame gen at launch though - and it's been 10 months since they announced Reflex 2 frame warp and there's been no news since!

I was really hoping to see it this year because they've been demonstrating it on The Finals which is my main FPS game right now.

It's strange isn't it, considering we got Reflex 1 straight away with the 4XXX series!

I noticed it in one of the night vision options, but didn't notice it again with AI Vision option turned on... so yeah not sure what to make of that, not seen it since.
