I do a lot of Asian cooking, but really, any dish with meat in it... even a chicken sandwich - A cheeky sprinkle of MSG elevates the flavor to a new level. And it means I don't have to use any salt, or very very little salt.
I use it a bit like chilli flakes.. Pretty much every dish gets a little sprinkle.
And there's the price, when a kilo costs pretty much the same as a tiny jar.

Shouldn’t it be “no added MSG”? Since MSG is a naturally occurring chemical?

Yeah there was a whole thing years back about MSG causing headaches etc. that was largely a bunch of racist BS against Asian immigrants in America.
I'm not surprised it's persisted in South Africa, but it's a load of rubbish.
If anything MSG is a healthier alternative to salt, as it contains about 1/3 the sodium and is also naturally occurring in many foods.
yeah, most cheese, for example naturally has MSG in it, so you don't need to add MSG to a cheesy dish.

You dont need much, use it a bit like salt, and use no salt at all, for example.

Srs though MSG is magic. Especially for Asian cooking but in general it's the magic key to "OMG why are these crisps so tasty" type umami flavours.
New grips, the fake leather ones seemed a bit meh, even though they were comofrtable.
Keychron Q6 HE to replace the Q6 Max. Annoyingly exporting and importing the macros and keymaps did not work, seems the newer models do not work with the same json files when importing... Had to manually replicate my customisations one by one which was.... something. And then swap over my keycaps from the old one as that's sold. Another thing I wish to never do again, keycap set swapping is seriously tedious. Going to keep the stock ones on the HE for a while as I really like the OSA profile Keychron uses on these.

Bosch were wrongly displaying a different price to that at the till, so saved 3 whole English pounds.
