Woo-hoo, the clocks go back to GMT next weekend!

Used to love it when I was young and raving/clubbing every weekend and you got an extra hour before the lights came on at 8am.

Now I'm a bit meh and it just means we're in for that horrible dank 5 months of British autumn/winter. Roll on spring.

maybe we should just do away with clocks and rely on instinct, maybe rely on various birdsongs to determine what 'time' it is

Humans did that for millennia then astronomy was studied in ancient worlds and time based on solar and planetary motion was discovered and is pretty well immutable.

Can you please let all the children know?
My first thought as a father of two was ‘not a ****ing chance in hell’ :-D

Thank god it can be completely dark before I even think about finishing work now. I was just thinking today how awful it is to still have some light at 6pm.

Damn it, why is it last year and this year, when they go back, i am taking a flight on that day

this happened last year and i was worried that i would mess up my flight because of the time change, this year im doing the same thing, i need to take a flight next sunday

Definitely looking forward to my 9am (PDT) meeting next week being at 4pm GMT, rather than 5pm BST!

At least until they catch up and switch to PST :(

It will help my worsening sleep pattern by getting me up an hour earlier in the short term at least, but I hate it going dark before dinner, mainly because I love going for outdoor rides after dinner during the warmer/lighter summer BST months.
