What PC games are you playing?

Been loving this with Game pass. Real nice time sync, was delayed on a Stag Doo the other week and this really helped pass away the hours!

- Battlefield 6
Been enjoying it for the most part, nice coming away from 2042 with some mates.

I’m playing Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I’m playing it with mouse and keyboard because the controller doesn’t work right in the game… there’s fixes out there, but I can’t be arsed.

Anyway. The game is great, but good grief the art direction is embarrassing. It’s like a 13 year old emo kid came up with it. It’s a shame, because the level design is amazing - probably the best in the Sands trilogy.

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Played this loads in the past, but realised I've never actually finished. The remaster adds loads of QoL, and the excellent voice acting really helps the story, which is complex, to land better than it ever has for me before.

Will probably grab it in a few years. Need to get through pixel remaster that I got first. Only completed the first, so 5 more to go yet

I've not brought myself to go through all the pixel remasters. I do love FF in general, but am yet to go through 1 > 4. I may someday, but TBH tere are still a number I need to finish (13 - kinda in play right now. The 13 sequels if I can stomach them. x-2, 15, 16...).

Did they add plenty of QoL enhancements to the pixel remasters? I'm OK with older games, but sometimes the slog can be real due to UI / UX / engine limitations of the time... (Tactics remake definitely addresses this)

As I recall thry did. But best read up on it before buying. I really like Final Fantasy 1 to 9. FF X changes things up. I really liked it on release, but replaying it again circa 2017 i realised it was not as good as i remembered. Not played FF12 or 13. Actually tried 13 and found it boring so never persisted beyond a few hours.

I have played and enjoyed FF 15. Wasnt great, but decent. Not played the latest one yet. Will grab it when it isnsuper cheap when i dont have anything else i fancy playing, which might be a long time from now

Partaking of the Arc Raiders stress test currently, but a gamut of corking games on the horizon, Outer Worlds 2, Arc Raiders, Tavern Keeper, Europa Universalis 5 and Anno 117 all coming up in the next 3 or so weeks, good times :D

Having a small break from Guild Wars 2 before the new expansion drops so decided to fire up Starcraft II again and do the campaign. While I won't sub to WoW (or any other game) any more, I can't fault Blizzard's storytelling abilities.

After not playing any games since 2018 (I couldn't follow Witcher 3 + DLC) I bought a new PC and have started playing Skyrim again, this time with the insane "Gates of Sovngarde" collection, which includes 1800+ mods. What astonished me is that after a 50+ GB download, the install was fairly painless and it appears that everything just works. It's a LOT harder than vanilla Skyrim so I'm taking baby steps while I get reacquainted with the game world - having a ton of fun instead of sleeping :D

Keeper on gamepass...you play as a lighthouse...it looks ok although needs DLSS + DLAA on 1920x1080 as massive GPU hog....just cannot get into it so uninstalled after a few hours as gameplay is stale and boring :(
