What watch do you wear?

Hi all, where is a good place to buy new watch straps? I have a metal strap at the moment but in winter it does not fit well and not many micro adjustments.... looking for a nice leather strap?

Tissot Touch Diamante.

While I love the watch - I probably wouldn't buy another half decent marque again (I guess this is mid - range) just based on the fact of what a faff it is to even just get a battery changed.

It's not just the cost (I think it was £150 last time as you have to pay for a routine service) but more the time it takes - It gets sent off somewhere and on both occasions it was 3-4 months before I got my watch back. I'm not sure if this is usual?

Looks like a girls watch mate. Buy a case tool from ebay or temu and a battery from a market stall and do it yourself. Paying that to change a battery and a 'service" is beyond ridiculous.

But I've taken it to a few jewellers and a Stimpsons concession and none of them will touch it so I fail to see how I'll be able to do it myself.

It's only a battery change. There's nothing really to "service" on a quartz watch, just a bit of a clean up. maybe replace gaskets if they're too old.
There's no way I would be paying £100+ for a battery swap

Watchrepairuk recently fitted a battery to my Breitling and it was £95 including reseal and pressure test, so yes £150 is ridiculous.
As others have said, pop the back off and do it yourself.

3-4 months?
That's a 1 hour job even for a complete novice.
The most difficult part is trying not to lose the tiny screws.

Was so impressed with the Seiko 5 Field watch that I picked up a Seiko 5 Sport SKX Redux.
The Field watch will remain as my work watch with the SKX being used for other occasions. Still need to resize the strap.

Already thinking my next purchase will be Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Auto

Bit of a leap in price over what I already have. However I might get it as a Christmas present to myself.

That's the same as one of my Seikos, but it came with a nato strap. Looks better on the steel strap.

Breitling 20 years old but still like this one, not so keen on the new ones, obviously I need that water proof to 1500m as I'm often swimming round the Titanic

Just upgraded my Galaxy watch 5 pro to the 8 classic as there was good discounts, trade in values.
