Impossible to try and play closed weapon all out warfare tonight, just got put into bit lobbies consistently which barely had more than 10 real players by the time the conquest ended
 
Kind of glad I'm still on the fence about snagging this given the issues and crappy maps it currently has. :o

Maybe when the first map pack drops....
 
How is BF6 guys? I played the Beta when it was available to everyone, got bored and uninstalled after about 6 hours. Felt better than 2042 but still not good as 1 in my opinion.

I'm tempted to get it as i'd like something modern to play but it still seems like there's a few issues.

From my time with the beta, truly awful. Tiny compared to previous BF games, lots of being shot in the back and spawn die, spawn die etc. full game has some bigger maps but not like older BF games. Look very uninspired tbh.

any other type of play style and you constantly get shot in the back / from above, usually in a 1 second get hit 4 times death burst

Makes defence very difficult on rush/breakthrough etc unless you just run about like a madman

Actually where is that "it's nothing like COD" guy? He was all over this pre release, saying how awesome it is. Game releases and vanished. EA marketing pundit? :eek:

I'm the same. I kinda get fomo at times simply because I've played every other Battlefield game (bar 2042) and I miss those games but then I read through this thread, check out some videos and I'm like "nope, making the right choice".

If this could be had for £20-30 I may have taken the plunge.
 
Starting to get into this now. Played Firestorm conquest last night and did pretty well (ended up 7th on my team so ok for an old fart).
Enjoying it. :)
 
I hope this bf6 engine allows for time of day lighting. The new trailer almost hints at a nighttime map, which would be terrific or better yet, maps which transition between night <> day.
 
I've still not got the 10k score in a single round, got 9k a couple of times, other people seem to be getting double my score and I don't know how, I'm playing the objective and getting similar k/d.

Are there particular things that are worth a lot of score?

The future of Battlefield feels like it's riding on the long-term success of this release. If they don't address the de-sync and hit registration issues, players will just drift towards the next big thing. This could very well be the final chapter for BF after all, nothing lasts forever!
 
What problems are people having? not had any problems at all apart from last week the hitreg was a bit weird,and last night a couple of teammates disappeared when I revived them

Tanks, jets or helicopters. Can rack up huge scores in a tank with a gunner, they paint enemy vehicles and there's a AIM (iirc) missile that will generally one shot things; on top of normal kills. Engineers can also get an ammo/repair crate.


Games last night had major performance issues for myself. Game was stuttering all over the place, as if it was dropping down to <20fps. Nothings changed my side though and fps didn't drop below 60. Not quite sure what was going on beyond 'server issues'.
