Corsair Air 5400

If I was putting together a new build that would be the case for it. Looks good, cooling is good, and cable management is tidy, especially with those brushes they have.

Though id have expected it to be aluminium instead of steel for that price.

My initial thought was that this seems to be solving an issue that I've not really noticed.
Do we need to separate out the CPU cooling, are CPUs getting that hot that this is necessary?

How wide is this case? It seems about twice as thick as a "normal" case. Given it's size you'd expect it to have good cooling. I'm also surprised they didn't just move the GPU into it's own compartment with a riser cable.

How does this case benefit you if you use an air cooler (given it has AIR in the name)? Seems like calling it the "5400 AIO" might've been suitable.

I'd like to see a proper update to the original 540, nothing since has retained the good things it did while improving the bits which could have been better, still putting my 540 into use as nothing has really replaced it in my opinion.

Looks excellent, price is mental, but hopefully does a good job. I don't run an AIO so not sure if it's aimed at me hahaha be interesting to try it though

You can close off that external vented section so those fans bring air into the case, although this isn't really the case's strong point.
The price is certainly on the higher end but I wouldn't call it mental. £240 with three fans is the same as the Fractal Design Meshify 3 XL for example, and only £20 more expensive than the Hyte Y70 or Phanteks NV9, neither of which come with any fans.

Hi Gang

Announced this week we have the fantastic new case model from Corsair. I saw this on their roadmap about 9 months ago and was really excited to see the final product.
The case is a triple chamber design with a bunch of clever airflow paths. Featuring a unique fan shroud at the bottom of the case, the AIR 5400 provides huge flexibility for even the most extreme builds.

This is a high end chassis with a price tag to match but comes in two flavours. The LX-R is enabled for iCUE LINK and has the necessary controllers to run your cooling solutions within that ecosystem. The RS-R model is a lower price point, whilst still coming with fans, the RS-R fans use ARGB headers as opposed to the iCUE LINK Hub that comes with the LX-R version of the case.

Both models will be available for pre order from today and come in white and black to suit your build aesthetic.

Expecting stock around mid January 2026

@rjk why is the shipment day so long?? A competitor has them in stock, ready for delivery?
because I only rejoined OcUK back at the end of September.

If a competitor has them in stock then they have likely ordered them in advance of the global launch. This would be how I would handle it usually.

UK distribution has no stock until after our stock lands direct from Corsair, so I physically can't get inventory here any quicker unfortunately.

I appreciate that answer sucks. Moving forwards, case/psu launches will be a lot better orchestrated to coincide with global PR and product launches.

Sorry the news isn't more positive at this point.

no problem, thank you for clearing that up.

Sounds good but really need to be seeing some performance numbers before dropping that sorta cash. Although, I'm not looking to do a new build until next year.

seen a few places putting reviews live over the weekend.
these were the two I watched and thought did a good job of showing what the case is all about.

Can't see the reason, PSU and radiator seperate, it's so big it'll just get in the way
Yeah, the way the radiator seems to vent out right in front of the PSU intake fan seems odd. If they were in the same compartment the PSU could draw cool air from outside rather than the warm air from outside created by the radiator?
