Black friday shopping list

Nothing… if I needed something, I would have brought it already after looking at all the normal sites for the cheapest prices.

Things that I may buy if I there’s a good deal…
-Tudor peg 39 watch.. I want a beater watch, but it’s just likely to end up in the watch box until the Apple Watch dies…
- Polar loop… already have an Apple ultra and a mi fit band but I would like something screen-less and subscribe-less..
- PlayStation 5 or switch 2… thou my ps4 hasn’t been on in nearly a year, winter is coming..
- Mac mini or some sort of NUC… this keeps entering my mind to home lab but I have stacks of resources from work, there’s just certain things, you shouldn’t do with work equipment.
- treadmill… this is more of a space issue, every winter I think I need one, but come spring, summer and autumn it’s open road again.. my gym is only 30 mins down the road, and if I cba to drive down.. I’m not sure if I would be bothered about unfolding a treadmill.

Barring that… some new running trainers.. in ear monitors.. wallet.. a day pack that doesn’t have a laptop holder..

What i’m likely to buy… nothing… been really good on the last few Black Fridays and prime days, just purchased 3 pairs of specs and 4 pairs of sunglasses last month.

Looking to scalp the entire supply of 20tb drives based on this thread!

In seriousness, nothing exciting, maybe an outdoor camera for an area at the back of the house not currently covered.

I’m replacing my Ring devices with Tapo stuff so hopefully a few good deals on the outdoor cameras and doorbells.

Yeah, I have an all Tapo system with ~10 cameras at mine and my mums plus lots of Tapo smart plugs.

Black Friday is a good time to get Tapo stuff as it tends to be at the lowest price point (which it does also hit at other times of the year)

Most other things I see selling are actually priced higher when examined more carefully.

Just to sidetrack you here, we've a couple of Tapo cameras, easy wee remote jobbies, go into app, look at camera etc.

Is there any method of getting them to display on a screen, like a monitor or panel that you could mount somewhere and have live feed into?

Robot vacuum Dreame L40s Pro Ultra I have been keeping note of the price over the last 6 months so will see if any better deal comes

gpu (9070 ish level of perf/price without getting my pants pulled down) and new tv for the extension that should be getting finished up in the next couple of weeks. but well aware BF can be a bit of a nonsense so not in any rush.

The way I have done this was to use an old 10" Android tablet and just left it plugged in. From the tablet I can also cast it to my TV if I want.

I've also viewed the cameras on my PC monitors by running Bluestacks 5 (Android emulator for Windows) and then installing the Tapo app on it. It is a really straight forward and simple process.

excellent thanks

A couple of Mototags, a 5aH DeWalt power stack battery (not sure if these charge in the standard DeWalt battery charger, will need to check), a decent cover for the Peloton bike as I'm thinking of doing my rides in the garage.

Thinking about it, we should probably buy a pram and car seat(s) for our first child that's due end of Feb. Both sides of the family want to buy us lots of stuff but for really expensive things, I don't want to have that expectation of them.

On my list:

- new HDDs (internal or external) between 12TB-20TB
- Apple Watch
- Apple iPad Air
- Bosch toaster and kettle
- car cleaning stuff including lance and snow foam lance
- DJI Osmo Action 5

Will probably only buy if substantial discounts are available.

A QD-OLED ultrawide that I can scratch within 30 second of unboxing.
