It's a decent set and came with loads of alternatives. Only place I could find it being sold was here (I got it for £20 from Ebay and they all looked brand new)Ha that's pretty cool, could be tempted myself to get something like that![]()

That's a good looking kit! I really need to start building my kits, I basically have a wall of gunpla in the spare room. Hopefully have my living room sorted this weekend though so I can't start cracking through them.Got this today. HG Sinanju in Titanium finish. Complete with all weapons/extra parts, box and instructions. Only issue with it is part of the helmet horn has broken off but I already have a 3D stl file for that so will print another one
I wouldn't normally bother with HG but this one looks really good with that finish.
Also came with a pair of tamiya nippers and a panel line marker. All for £14

I could start building them now in my spare room where all my PC stuff is but the "perfectionist" in me is like I can't until everything is just right. Once I get my new desk built, I'll just need to grab a cutting matt and will be good to go. It's annoying as I'm excited to start but keep putting this silly "fake" barriers up to stop me doing it.I stopped building my kits as I wanted to get my desk and shelves sorted first. Needless to say say that has not happened.
Ive fallen victim to the draw of this.
My Son 8 years old brought a little model from a pop up store in Camden when we were in London last weekend (EG version) and helping him do it on the train back was very enjoyable.
Ive been wanting a "phone or screen free" hobby for a while so ive decided this is it.
Got an RG kit (not sure if genuine) on its way from Aliexpress for Christmas, and a starter set of tools: DSPIAE TC-S01 DEPARTURETOOL COMBO and some panel lining fine tip markers and now i cant wait to give it a go.
Ive also read that some "third party" non Gunpla stuff is ok - does anyone have any experience with those kits or can suggest where i can take a look at some? I have no attachment to the Anime, just the model building is whats drawing me in.

The RG kit will most likely be a 3rd party one but generally they are very good anyway so you shouldn't have any problems.....which one was it? I got one for about £10 a while ago and it was perfect. Lots of 3rd party companies now doing their own models as well and the reviews are really good. I've bought a few of the bigger kits myself but haven't started building any yet (Infinite Dimension RT-002 Nemesis, Eddas Asgard, SNAA Tristan, Axis Osiris Dominator, In Era Lizard, Infinite Dimensions Ruling Type 01 (white version))
DSPIAE are a good brand so that kit should be decent. Looks like it has all the necessary tools. The further you get into it the more tools you "need" of course and that's before you even start thinking about painting them![]()
Probably will be genuine then. Why did you order it from Aliexpress though when you can buy it from a UK shop for the same price eg (I have used them before) : https://www.gunpla.co.uk/shop/gunpla/rg-gunpla-1-144/rg-gundam-strike-freedom-zgmf-x20a-1-144/haha!
The kit I got was listed as the following, looks as genuine as I could get from Aliexpress...
Bandai RG 1/144 GUNDAM STRIKE FREEDOM GUNDAM - its from what looks like a genuine seller of all Bandai kits, it was about £33 shipped. Seller was called something like: Anime Toy Planet Store
Probably will be genuine then. Why did you order it from Aliexpress though when you can buy it from a UK shop for the same price eg (I have used them before) : https://www.gunpla.co.uk/shop/gunpla/rg-gunpla-1-144/rg-gundam-strike-freedom-zgmf-x20a-1-144/
A few of my go to shops :

www.kikatek.com
www.oeshop.co.uk
www.kidultverse.com
www.jadlamracingmodels.com
I'm not too close to London, we just happened to be there at the weekend for some family time.To add to the list:
https://rivalscorner.co.uk/ - dude that runs this is really nice.
Warhammer 40k and Games Workshop Store | Element Games
Wargaming web-store with low prices, speedy delivery and excellent customer service. Specialising in Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k.elementgames.co.uk
If you're actually in or really close to London both of those have stores you can actually look around if you want to check things out before you buy.
And if you want a proper curve ball https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ - They actually have really good prices on the kits and if you keep an eye out on socials or just sign-up to the newsletter, they quite often do deals where it's £5 if you spend 20 for example.
I use http://www.kidultverse.com/ a fair bit as well but have used all of the list given with the exception of the last one.
I'd avoid Forbidden Planet as their prices are sometimes a bit inflated but depends if they are the only place that has a kit you want or not.
