If your budget will stretch to it, see if you can get a decent mesh wifi set. I used powerline adapters for years, and they're only any good if you have decent electrics in the house. Otherwise they're flaky as hell and a massive headache.Seemingly need a decent set of powerline adapters, WiFi in the new place is utter dross.

I agree with this, I used Devolo power line adapters in three different properties - including a new build, and they were never stable enough. You'll lose throughput randomly until you switched the adapter off and on again.

I had issues with TP link powerline adapters dropping out all the time in 2 houses. The joys of anecdotal success / failure I guess.My tp links have been flawless. In 2 houses.

I have the TP-Link Deco BE65 set of 3, and although a lot more expensive (!) it's an absolutely massive gamechanger. Set & forget, gigabit speeds around the house, no fuss.
