Battlefield 6 question on PS5.

I play BF6 works fine, when i'm done i put the PS5 to rest mode.

When I'm ready for another game power the PS5 on and it wakes from rest mode nice and quick, loads straight into BF6 but gets server disconnected message. I press continue and get another message press continue and it loads into the BF6 main menu.

When i try and load a multiplayer match the start button in lobby is grayed out and i have to completely close the game and restart it. (as in back to the PS5 dashboard)

Is this normal ? it seems BF6 does not like rest mode.

Same for me. I mentioned it in another thread. Cod allows you to back out to main menu and disconnects you from online services but means the game can be left open for quick resume.

BF6 craps out on me on quick resume but also if I turn my controller off too.

I basically now have to close the game fully when I'm finished playing and fire it up again when I want to play next time.

Seems like an annoying oversight from EA not to have a main screen that you can be on without being connected to online services. It's doubly annoying because the screen actually exists already - it's the one when you first fire up the game and have to press X on.

Do you guys use a headset or just a set of bluetooth headphones? If you do use a headset which one?
I used the Sony pulse 3d ones for a while but they hurt my ears and fell apart anyway. I just use a wireless set with a USB dongle/transmitter that it comes with. Steelseries Arctis 9’s. Had them almost 2 years and I’ve used them pretty much every day. Great sound and very comfortable even after long sessions. Probably been replaced by a newer model now but the Steelseries around £130-160 mark are the sweet spot for me in terms of quality and value.

I have some Turtle Beach Atlas Air headphones that have been great. I wanted open back headphones and also wireless for the PS5 and it seemed impossible to find any. They were always closed back or wired or some caveat with PS5 functionality - but the TB Atlas Air have been genuinely really great on the PS5.

I guess the only little annoyance is the mic mute is tied to pushing the microphone up - but I tend to mute my mic with the PS5 controller mute button anyway so it's a tiny frustration.

I’ve used the Pulse Elite since the beginning of the year and really like them. Connects instantly and long battery life. Never used to use headphones in my lounge, but now I prefer it :)
I need to look into these. I got the launch Pulse 3D ones and the thing I miss mostly is how amazing they sounded. If the Elites are more comfortable and better built than that set then I might consider those next time.

I use Astro A50X wireless headphones. More expensive than some of the other brands mentioned but the base charging unit acts like an HDMI switcher and can link 3 devices in total ( it also works with Switch 2 btw ). One full charge provides 24 hrs of use. Very lightweight & comfortable. I have modded mine with Wicked Cushion headband and ear cushions for extra comfort ( easy to do and not that expensive ). I did have the Pulse 3D headphones, still do actually, but I don't find them comfortable to wear for more than 30 mins.

Steelseries Arctis 7P+, I think there's a newer version out now. Really comfortable, excellent battery life, and the build quality is leagues ahead of the Pulse 3D headset I had before which was flimsy plastic and less comfortable. The only thing I miss was the way they integrated with the PS5 so turning them on would immediately adjust the audio input/output settings etc, whereas it requires a manual change from the quick access menu with the Arctis.

I was really surprised. I used to occasionally use my old W1000XM3’s via cable to the controller and much preferred these. I went for the all black version. I can’t compare against the non-elite, but worth trying via Amazon and returning if not suitable :)

I've used the Steelseries Arctis Pro since PS5 launched and they've been fantastic. Great sound quality and very comfortable. You also get a 2nd battery which charges up in the base station so you never have to worry about charging them up etc. I was a bit worried about the durability of them but after 5 years of solid use they still look and feel as good as they did on day 1.

They look very good but somewhat expensive :D. I'll certainly watch a few reviews.

I often used my over ear Sennheisers in the Xbox controller when playing single player games, so hopefully can do similar with the dual sense. They're relatively low impedance so aren't that hard to drive. For online, I had a pair of Steelseries 9X. Great comfort and decent sound, most importantly for FPS had an accurate soundstage.

Hyper x cloud alphas have been solid for me had them for years. Only issue I've had is with the headphone pads themselves showing wear I would recommend them from having to buy a new headset every other year usually

I've got a pair of Audeze Maxwell's and they're absolutely superb. If you decide to get them buy the Xbox version so that you have compatability for all platforms for an extra £20 it's a no brainer.
