How deprived is your neighbourhood ?

Your area is ranked 32,249 out of 33,755 in the 2025 Index of Multiple Deprivation (where 1 is most deprived and 33,755 is least deprived). This means it is less deprived than a typical neighbourhood.

28000 out of 33775.

My town was named murder capital a few years back. That cannot be right. Although we do live in a nice area on the outskirts.

I put in my parent's current and previous postcodes, 30k and 32k.
Put in mine (in the same town, around a mile from either) and got 14k.... I really can't see that much of a difference in standard of living

Strong evidence of the more deprived and uneducated an area is the more likely reform and similar parties do well - its what always happens in history, the more desperate a people are, the more right wing they go.

8000 in my area 'more deprived than most'

I don't think that is very accurate at all. My girlfriend lives in a properly posh part of rural Herefordshire, yet her score is 10 out of 33,755. Whereas I live in Stoke-on-Trent and mine is 8,915 out of 33,755. I think it must go on population density or something as her area is so sparse, I think her next door neighbours are about half a mile away.

It's giving me dubious results too. I'm expecting to move house and my current address (which has more expensive houses, several schools, supermarkets and is close to the amenities of the city centre) is allegedly much more deprived than my new address (which has cheaper houses and is further away from shops and amenities).

I am giving it postcodes of absolute holes I have had to deliver to in the past and it is pretty accurate on its assessment.

My lowest so far was a cash and carry in North London and the old Lidl Enfield RDC which were both 2437.

I assume Jaywick is number 1 as usual?
:D
Oh hah hah.

The red dot is where my mum used to live. Everyone there is elderly and generally quite wealthy. It just shows how utter garbage the list is.
