Arc Raiders

I'm getting in to a zone, looting then looking for an exit straight away. Run into 3 players, all who chatted and didn't shoot which was great as it serves players better to not just mow down any individual they see. Also extracted twice whilst down... those bloody Rocketeers :D

Enjoying it up to now.

I actually find quite often that if you speak people will tend to speak back and not attack. Talking to people can make the difference between life and death so y'all get your mics out and dont be shy :D

"please don't shoot me, I'm a functioning member of society with a job so I can't match your level"

3 human encounters = 3 shootouts lol = 3 Deaths (low level scrub).

My mentality from now on is "I came here for a shootout, a proper shootout. With guns"

Great game

Shows how different people can be, but it definitely feels in the early game, people are less trigger-happy as they know it's not like the Server Slam where people just didn't give a ****. (I got the Kray's reference too.)

I had a few people at the start just shooting me, but then I started using the "Dont Shoot" emote, and a few left me alone to scavenge, both got to elevators etc.

I can see this being quite addictive :)

I have no idea what I should be picking/leaving behind.

Any good guides?

The biggest tip I can give is, if you have a station you want to build or upgrade, or you need items for a quest, then you can track them. Then in game when you loot, the items you're tracking have an icon on them to indicate that. So you know what to prioritize. It's good to get all your basic workbenches in place and start working to upgrade them because it will let you craft gear rather than rely on having to find it.

- Any loot with a diamond symbol just sells for cash.
- Item descriptions list what something can be used to craft, if nothing is listed then you currently can't use it, you can recycle it into other components or sell it.
- Generally Blue items break down into some green, greens in to greys etc. Higher tier loot is generally more valuable.
- Learn the base materials everything eventually recycles down to (metal, fabric, chemicals, plastic) these are least valuable and scrappy your rooster will literally loot these for you while you're out on mission anyway. Early on you will need a fair few to get your first stations built, but later on the can start being ignored for much more valuable loot.

Honestly its overwhelming at first, but eventually get use to filtering stuff quickly. Learn the most helpful gear recipes for your playstyle and then keep materials you need for them. For example I like to craft extended mags because the mag capacity without them is tiny. They require springs. Stocks require Tape, shield recharges require arc cores, bandages require fabric. Some of the most helpful items early on.

For extra giggles, down them, then revive them with the defib, then down them again :D

From a game dev perspective I’m interested to see how the player dynamic plays out as a whole, but also whilst players level and then reach end game.

Will it stay the same overall or change at end game? Some players will just PvP as it’s there and available, but a lot seem to want to co-op on the fly.

I got a Dam key for the Testing Annex and in a duo I took the key and we spawned right next to the annex building, so rushed it and were looting like greedy b*****ds, then we start hearing explosions and gunfire and 2 other duos had done the same thing, rushed the Annex with a key and we all collided at once. Me and my friend were bunkered down inside the locked room watching through the window as these teams hose each other and went out to mop up. What a mess lol.

The large island in the Red Lakes on Dam is where I finally found some fruit to upgrade scrappy with, if anyone else is having a hard time finding them. I've found none at the loot locations which indicate "nature" in either Dam or Buried City.

Level 11 is quite enough for day 1.

Had it tonight.. This one guy started the session, ran off, extracted within 5 minutes - never spoke a word to us.

9:30AM TO 1:35AM of gaming i feel like a degenerate zoomer.. but this game is insane!

ive found in teams of 3 people, they don't use prox chat often only when they are dead... i did a few solo night runs and didnt even get in 1 gun fight everyone was so friendly, team up with randoms a lot especially when trying to extract!

did a few queen/harvester runs aswell sat on a hill with an osprey while my 2 team mates go inside and wipe a squad out is 10/10 gaming!

also the audio in this game will never get boring.

Id be up for some games at some point, will post my ID next time I get a chance to jump on as a bit busy until tomorrow :(

The small time I have had with it last night is exactly as I expected, fantastic!

Do you rank up in this game, what I mean is am I at a massive disadvantage if I pick this game up in 2-3 months?

Sounds like it could be fun.
