Arc Raiders

There's a bit more at play tbh. I think it's fuelled by the "they might kill me" factor. It doesn't take many bad actors to trigger that sentiment, for example we started this game as "ok, we'll be collaborative, helpful, friendly" etc. 48 hours later we're rabid murder hobos who feel bad about the slaughter, until the next one.

As things stand, from a narrative perspective, it makes zero sense why players are killing each other. The lore for this game is that humans are on the verge of extinction and have been driven underground for safety. All ARC need do is wait for us bozos to knock each other off !
Pretty much sounds EXACTLY what humans have always done (and probably always will :D )

I’ve been trying to get into this over the last few days and……I’ve killed people, been killed, teamed up etc and the loot just seems the same old over and over with the odd epic here and there. I can’t see me wanting to play much longer in all honesty.

Either you shop for them or they shop for you kind of experience. Nothing special.
Yup its definitely not a genre for everyone !

They're knocking each other out, not killing.

Today has not been a good day. 1 successful extraction, 1 death at the hands of an extraction camper and 2 deaths from firefights.....which admittedly I did start whilst using a free loadout.

I'm not sure if there are any stats but I've extracted well over 50% of the time I think. Am up to level 7 so done plenty of runs, really struggling to find field crates though, never seen one. I did find an Epic colour Blue Gate
Confiscation Room key though which I'm holding on to for now.

There's usually several around each field station. If there is a named POI nearby, its very likely you'll find one at the named POI. There's usually some closer but they can be hard to spot. If you're late in the raid its possible someone has already done most of them as its repeatable as long as you can find a crate.

I've done 3 runs now specifically trying to find them and no luck. I shall dive back in and have another look.

Bookers game we just extracted from on Dam. We were in the medical bit (honestly not sure exactly where ). Had to kill 6 or 7 or 8 (no idea tbh, it was 3 squads) to get out. The first two came at us with guns, they definitely all died badly, abusing us in voice whilst I knocked him out (it was a touching moment). The last squad, they were in the wrong place, wrong time and we were twitchy, I hope we didn't kill them and they got out.

It was really late in the map time and we had to use a hatch key to get out. Game just keeps giving!

Theres usually one around the water towers in the southern area of the Dam map

One thing I would like changed is the detail of the quest info, some of them are so vague and then there are some which you need specific items for but it doesnt tell you until you are actually at the quest location - one that comes to mind required a grappling hook or zipline, in order to be able to do the quest but it doesnt tell you that. Would be nice if it says on the quest (Zipline\Grapple required) or something like that. Then there are others that say something like Repair X , then when you reach X, it comes up and says "Requires 3 wire and 5 batteries" etc and you think well you could have told me that beforehand , I would have brought some with me from my stash

Yeah that's fair, but when you can get out and back in pretty quick it makes things more 'explorative' vs handholding.

Went onto Blue Gate tonight solo just to try to grab Olives and do a mission for Apollo.
Got downed by one person almost immediately after I spawned and they seem fairly new as their aim was shocking but I let them kill me as I didn’t want to run all the way across the map with little to no health as I went in very light.
After that went in totally without gear, no guns or anything and did an Apollo mission and actually managed to extract with some gear that I collected on the way even though I had to do a full circuit of the map. :D

Humans have always fought against each other, even when our very existence is under threat; it's just in our nature. I can 100% believe that if this game was a real life scenario, Raiders would be attacking each other and stealing each others loot.

Feels satisfying when playing solo and teaming up, then some rambo comes flying in all guns blazing not realizing it's 2 vs 1 :D
