Must say, something that surprised me is upon looking at the steam profiles of everyone I encounter, is how many people have their steam profiles on private. Cant see the point of it myself but I guess maybe it stops you getting unwanted messages or something

Never used to it until I started playing a few games at a relatively high competitive rank and you'd just be spammed with pretty nonsense/horrible messages post game.

Its all third person yes (and yes The Division was 3rd person too) , similar controls , apart from the hiding behind terrain method of The Division, in this its a manual crouch behind things.

best fun I've had multiplayer or solo in ages

maps are great, different weather great, different game style if playing as a team vs solo etc so many aspects

only negative - is I find the loot rather "boring"

The solo experience is totally different. Everyone shouting "Friendly! Friendly". Jump into helping out their quests and then jumping out.

Am I blind or is there no hud or somewhere indicator when push to talk or toggle to talk is active?
Would be useful to add.

I jumped off a hill and landed inside somehow. I was stuck in the hill and couldn’t escape lol.

Anyone got a good guide for recommended graphics settings? I’m using a 5090, 9950x3d.

The loot does get more interesting the further in you go, you start getting loot with "abilities" on, like items that do AoE pulsing heals for you and your team etc

Crank everything to epic and enjoy the game at max settings, looks great and runs great!

There is ... for proximity chat at least, but doesn't always work in party chat for me. When voice chat is open you'll see a small yellow square with a speaker symbol speaker next to it and the symbol animates with "sound waves" when it picks up your voice. When the channel is off the yellow square disappears ( or there can be a line through the speaker symbol if mic is switched off ).

Yep very almost exactly the same as The Division, 3rd person, you can switch left/right shoulder on the fly, you have all the basic movement controls, jump, climb, mantle, vault, slide, dodge roll, and you can zip up and down ropes.

It's a miles better game than the Division though IMO, i'm giving this game an easy 9/10, best game I have played in a long time, flawless launch, great visuals and audio, great performance even on my mid spec rig, great gameplay and so many things to do, I could go on and on, great stuff.

Turn everything to low and res at 480p. I'm surprised it runs on a 5090, you might want to consider upgrading to a decent card.
