Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 3rd November 2025]

Villa looked threatening at the start and then either ran out of steam or Liverpool got a firmer grip on the game. Pretty much the ideal opponent it turned out, as they were very loose in possession and gifted multiple chances when pressed.

Good to arrest the losing run in the league but wouldn't just be quick to say that's everything fixed now, although it was a better all round performance against a side much better than Frankfurt. Thought the refereeing was pretty poor but that's usually the norm rather than the exception these days.

Feel like It's rinse and repeat for Newcastle in the league games.. we just appear frustrating to watch in the league.

I thought last week was a must win in the league, but I feel like we need to win again now... can't be keep having this yo-yo form in league games. We want to get out the bottom half for good, even though it's all quite congested from us up to top 4.

Bottom half of the table whilst your local rivals sit 5 points above you with a game in hand  Crisis at newcastle?! Howe to get sacked?! All rather amusing
Yep am enjoying this. Self proclaimed best midfield in the league is a shambles.

Happens on a 2 weekly basis when we’re away from home

Nah, not this bad. There’s usually a player or two that shows some sort of spark, even if the team performance is poor.

This afternoon has been awful in every position, including the subs.

Literally nothing redeeming at the moment.
