the racing in this group is definitely in quotes i.e. "racing".. not.. Racing..

plus we do practice mess abouts.. i.e. host picks cars / track combo.. do a bit of qually and then a 6 lap "race".. change track car combo.. and repeat.. it's more of a social event than a "race"..

join the discord, and there are also people on there that will help you get setup etc.. then when you feel like it jump on for some fun/practice..

btw i don't join in the actual races, only the mess about sessions, so you won't be the only one doing practice and not racing.. if you really don't want to race yet..

As Riggs said we're all about enjoying it, everyone's at a different level, gear and skill, but the only rule is tap @glenimp617 out and we pay you ;)

I mean, I turn up, but I'm there to provide the comedy.
 
So I've been an iracing guy for years, with a bit of AC for the VRC F1 cars and some novelty tracks. But I own anything that runs ok on VR (except RF2)

I thought I'd try out the new cars on AMS2 since it's been like a year since I've opened it up, and I know it's the free weekend for the DLC's.

here's my thoughts:

1) the game is ******* gorgeous. Like more gorgeous than I remembered. With quest 3, on a 4080, it is shockingly attractive. I don't mind iracing's graphics, but it's night and day - especially the interior models. Good god, everything looks so good. I've been selling them short

2) the cars still feel too floaty, they kind of drift wide in a weird way, and braking hard for even a split second always locks the tires. But, it is fun

New dlc is very very good, join us in the discord (link on page one) we had a good couple of hours blatting around tonight.

They don't just "lock up" on braking

Depends on, the car, setup and the driver
