It's started. Last night, for the first time I've managed it all the way through, it was It's a Wonderful Life.

It was good - I thought George's back story was a bit longwinded but the final third of the film, where it all happens, was well worth the wait.

Next up - Bad Santa.

Oh god it's that time of year again, when my partner always puts on all those identikit generic American made straight for TV Xmas movies, which are just excruciatingly schmaltzy

these are my guilty pleasure, but I will wait until December 1st to start watching them.

Is it nearly that time where my wife makes us watch Santa Claus The Movie for the 100th time?

I struggle to regard Die Hard 1/2 as Christmas films as I've always watched them at other times of the year and Christmas itself isn't much of a backdrop or plot device throughout much of the 2 films.

My favourite Christmas film is The Snowman.

Has to be Gremlins for me. I was working in a Cinema at the time it 1st showed. It was up against Ghostbusters at the time in the Rival Cinema up the road, I think it did quite well.
