What retro things have you done today?

I originally thoughht it loooked like a Net Yaroze PS1, but on closer inspection, it looks like a custom shell. Looks nice though.
It was my initial thought as well :). I'd be interested in what the front ports look like, a lot of people seem to leave them grey and have a custom shell.

Nice, is that PS1 a custom shell?
Yes, I got a few such shells from Yoei (Retro Cool), covering PS1/Dreamcast/Saturn. My PS1 has an XStation and HDMI mod, so seemed fitting to replace the tired shell at the same time. They are great quality, much better than all the copies you see on eBay etc.

Edit - the front ports still are OE. Gives it a nice contrast, not sure what alternative are out there though.

I switched out the HSF in my Ultra Fast Win98 machine. The Thermalright cooler is massive (140mm) and is overkill for the Pentium Dual Core CPU in this machine. I spotted a nice compact 775 compatible Scythe cooler on the bay and snapped it up. Because of how close the Thermalright sits to the AGP slot, it prevents me from using my Radeon X850 with aftermarket cooler. The Scythe removes that issue.

Guy at work wanted a new gaming pc so I helped him out getting it all sorted. Said he had "some old box" at home from years ago which he bought in and gave me as a thank you. Turns out it's a 6th gen intel ******** system with nice board and a 1050ti in it. As it's in a small cube case I am going to turn it into a bazzite LAN box as fancied having a play with that for ages.

Also doom scrolling through eBay came across auction named just "Nvidia titan". £55 or best offer. Upon googling the part number on the back of the PCB it was in fact an EVGA Titan X OC (Maxwell). Threw in an offer of £40 and was accepted :). Granted it's not a fast card at all these days, but I always longed for one and would have NEVER had the money when they came out.

Booted up the psp today playing PGA tour golf on the mega drive . Still a fantastic game
The intro music on the original MD PGA tour golf game was cracking. We got it for my dad for his 40th birthday!!!, my memory is not awesome any more at times and your post reminded me of this from nearly 35 years ago! Genuinely Cheers :)

It’s a great game I have been absolutely hooked on it again .

another random ebay find. This popped up and put a best offer straight on it of £20 as I have never seen one in the wild. quite brilliantly it was accepted and its on its way to me!!

The Inno3D GTX780 iChill HerculeZ (it has completely OTT name, so must be good!). Looking at reviews its a heavily OC'd 780 Non-Ti but with what looks like the arctic cooling style 3 slot cooler on it, some RGB and cool styling. results seem to put it as fast as a 780ti card and it stomped the GTX Titan 6GB in some tests and is on par in others.

For £24 delivered I am quite excited it to have it on the GPU shelf and to do some benching etc :)

I have 3 builds to do start the xmas break once i have new shed up and kids bikes / mowers / gazebo out of my workshop so I can finish it! - watch this space

dont suppose anyone has any Nvidia rear connection plates for founders card spare do they, titan X has appeared with one that isnt correct for the card so some connections are covered up. One I need seems to be the same as the 1060/70/80 founders cards and maybe 9 series

Titan reference in that article is a blast from the past!

I’ve wanted this as I have memories of playing it in the arcade when I was very young and then never quite being as happy with my megadrive version, but it’s always been pricey.

Bargain copy popped up and snatched it.

Amazing. Never see this come up but really want to get it :)

I have recently sprayed a dell lcd monitor beige (or close enough too) I cant get hold of a CRT anymore and this is my lowly attempt to try and get the retro feels with an LCD monitor instead :) I also did a case in a previous video, its hard to find beige boxes these days!

Been busy at work so I haven't done much recently, however I did go up in the loft just now and I have a whole load of crud up there :D

This is my old board though, genuine "loft find", needs some TLC but I think I even have the LN2 bucket these came with (it's only a 920 in there)
