sorry not for me folks - posting stuff to/from NI is too big of a faff now unfortunately, sucks all the fun out of it. but i'll be watching the unwrap thread as always, with a tear in my eye remembering the original gold hot pants.

What’s been the challenge? It should remain the same with RM no?

some retailers either don't offer shipping at all or add stupid ££'s if they do to NI. been that way since Brexit. amazon is about the only online retailer i bother with now as they usually don't have issues shipping to NI (unless it's a 3rd party) but your in NI, you know this surely.

Costs aside, what are the logistical challenges? Do you have to declare everything to customs or summat?
no idea. if i go to the post office to send something out myself it's usually hassle free - there's been a couple of times i've had to fill in a form of some sort when the posty person has asked me - but those are outliers.
it's getting stuff delivered to me in the first place is usually where the problem lies. the amount of online retailers now who just refuse to ship to NI is staggering, even for small things.

Biggest problem

Bit of everything, but elfster will have some wishlist stuff and a way to ask your victim questions anonymously depends what you fancy doing. Sometimes it's easy and you know the person well others not so much.

My cat jaws loves cat nip treats if anyone is paying attention...

Cat called Jaws?

Sounds like your gift is nailed on

Finally cottoned on to you lot being a bunch of wrong'uns then!

In all seriousness, if you want to participate let me know and I'll handle it from my end. Happy to order the stuff and either post it to you, or put the parcel together on your behalf (and definitely not include a few gag pressies, ofc not, me? never)

That’s very kind but passing my faff on to someone else wouldn’t sit well for me - plus I used to enjoy the ‘hunt’ when looking for things for SS online. As I say, most of my online shopping is now limited to Amazon for simplicity - there ain’t no fun shopping on Amazon :p

I haven’t sent much to mainland myself in recent years and was curious. I can confirm if ordering from certain retailers the challenges of getting it here.
Sent privately from mainland to NI shouldn’t be any different which is what I was getting at.

aye sending privately is still much the same, usually. though i have had times where they've had me fill out forms but it's normally just been a couple of questions about the package contents - it seems quite random as to what triggers the questions/form filling. but yea, it's the buying things in that's the biggest pain in the a$$.

anywho, apologies, i didn't mean to take the thread off on a tangent.

roll on reveal day - it's still a bit of fun seeing what others who did participate get in their SS delivery.
