Im looking for a tablet for these roles:
1. I have about 700 hours of online course work to do (mostly listening to lectures (uninspiring videos)) - and I just cant watch them on my desktop.
2. Id like something portable so I can watch them on the train or at my work when not busy.
3. Id like a decent tablet for media and internet use when not using it for learning. (I dont game on a tablet)

Price is a factor but would pay more if I thought I would use it.

I saw the samsung s11 ultra at the store and loved the thiness of it, better then the s8 ultra I used to have. But its 14.6inches might be a bit big for portability (as in would I really want to bring that with me to work most days?)
The MS surface is smaller but heavier and I could do more with it but the price is 50%~ more then the S11 ultra.
The magicpad 2, cheaper at 330~ so lets say 60% cheaper then the s11 ultra; a bit better for portability but of course not as good as a samsung.
(all of these are OLED screens which I really prefer and doubt Id want a LCD screen) - the xiaomi pad 7 ultra seems like the best tablet out there but it doesnt have a global release yet and dont want a chinese rom tablet.

Whats your thoughts?

I had a Samsung Tab S9, lightly glanced the top corner with a small cardboard box, ended up with a cracked screen, so much for so called Gorilla Glass.

Replaced with a Magic Pad 2, superior to the Samsung, screen size, battery power, ergonomics (better cover/keypad).

Oh, and half the price.

Won't ever be going back to Samsung.

But you like the honor much more? ... btw you arnt located SW london or anything? or fleet area. (like to see it in person if you or someone doesnt mind showing me the tablet).

If I had a choice between the two at equal money, I'd take the Magic Pad 2 every time.

Given that the MP2 cost me half the money of the Samsung is just ridiculous, it's so overpriced its not true.

No issues/weaknesses at all.

I'm in the Midlands, so miles away from you, I'm afraid.

Just buy it (with the cover/kb), you won't be disappointed.

I assume throwing it in a backback for trips and things is not a big deal? ... when I had my s8 ultra I wouldnt do that it was too big ...

I've thrown my MP2 into my backpack going out on cycle rides, not a problem.

I just looked, it's currently on offer at £330 with the cover/kb, absolute bargain.

Mine cost me £400, but also came with the stylus.

that is a good price :)

oh I have 2 chargers I always carry with me one a 65w and a 61w charger those work or need the honor one?

My Samsung 65W didn't work (at high speed), nor any of the multiple chargers I have.

You could always try them and buy the Honor charger later if they don't work.

Me, I'd just buy the Honor charger up front.

The reason the Honor is cheap is beacuse it only has 1 OS update left in the tank.

S11 series will be supported for 7 years of OS and security updates.

The Honor Pad 10 gets 6 years OS updates, 7 years security patches.

That's why I got it recently - sadly these days I look at support lifetime first rather than h/w specs.

Snapdragon7 G3 but that's fine for me, I don't game on it.

Looks like its £239 with keyboard & stylus/pencil on BF deals.

ya I hear a lot about that ... I have had a lot of hauwei/honor products in the past 10 years and one thing I did notice - they might have a good/better product but after care is very lacking. But their products are still good.

Huawei had exceptional support until Trump got Google to ban them from the play store. They still have exceptional support - just not for "Western" countries & that's entirely understandable to me...

@Vestas
Any chance you can see if an APP installs & runs on it please -

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.allenheath.minimicro.mixpad

I'd appreciate it before purchasing.

Sorry to resurrect a thread but I can get the magic pad 4 for 549 with the keyboard and pencil, how much better is it then the magic pad 2? I'm in two minds, I can afford either device but with a £200 difference there doesn't seem to be a lot in it.
