No dedicated section for stream decks, so posting here in 'General' — feel free to move if there's a better spot!

Just wanted to share a recent purchase in case anyone else is looking for something similar. There aren’t many reviews out there yet, so hopefully this helps! :)

I’ve just received the MiraBox N4 Pro Stream Dock, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s a solid piece of kit with great build quality and probably closest in function to the Elgato Stream Deck Plus, though there are some key differences worth noting.

Features the MiraBox N4 Pro offers (that Elgato Stream Deck Plus doesn’t — as far as I know):
  • Built-in USB hub (Elgato’s is a £30 add-on)
  • Haptic/vibration feedback on buttons and touchbar
  • Customisable RGB lighting around the 4 knobs
  • Full GIF support for backgrounds
  • Supports more scenes and pages
  • Can auto-switch scenes/pages based on the active app
  • Software is very intuitive — almost a carbon copy of Elgato’s UI (which seems to be the standard format most stream docks follow now)
What Elgato Stream Deck Plus still does better:
  • Larger plugin ecosystem (thanks to a bigger community) — though MiraBox has a decent selection, and you can build your own if needed
  • Elgato Marketplace offers free/licensed music tracks and sound effects — MiraBox doesn’t have a marketplace equivalent, though it does support built-in plugins like Voicemod

You Sir are a legend, have been looking for reviews but they all seem to be a 1 minute short, possibly from the suppliers. Made an account just to reply to you.
Did you purchase it directly from mirabox website, or did you get one from AliExpress?
Would love if you could do just a quick review of your own thoughts in video format or just show the buttons being pressed. Also how much did you pay :)?
Thanks again !
- Also the trim you have on it, looks dope!

HI - wasn't sure what you were expecting but did a quick video for you anyway!? - its a very responsive unit.. the touchscreen/bar works really well - the dials feel well made and clicky and you can see how responsive it is when i interact with it or press buttons to launch apps etc - hopefully, this is ok?

I purchased it from Ali Express - think i paid around £85 or so for it at the time?.. they seemed to have jumped up a bit since then.

Perfect! Thank you so much. So the buttons do have some tactile feel to them, they're not just like squishy touch pads?
I was concerned about latency due to one of my main usages for it being to execute orders on a trading platform, but they look to be very repsonsive.
On AliExpress was it listed as Mirabox N4 or was it nameless and it arrived as a Mirabox. I have seen on their website they currently have it up for $100, which works out to be around £75 with free shipping, so that it probably where I will get it from.
Did you get the carbon trim and knobs from somewhere else :) ?

the buttons are like most of the botton types you get on units like this - i wouldn't describe them as tactile as such (they don't click) - but there is a bit of travel in them and you get the sensation of a button press (just no really click) - they're responsive ans sensitive though.. so no real drama..

yep there isn't really latency - they are very responsive - no complaints there!

On AliExpress you need to search for: "2025 Mirabox N4 Pro" - the 2025 is the important bit as the previous model doesn't have a lot of the newer features.. (the carbon trim and knobs come as part of the 2025 model! ;) )

Awesome, as long as you can feel a press, that is great. Never used a stream deck before so was not aware of the feeling.
Had not realised it was the pro cersion, I would not have clocked that! I will scout around for that instead of the normal version.
Thank you for all the replies. I will be sure to drop a photo here once I order one. Will probably get it as a Christmas Present!
(would you also be able to provide the link to the seller - if it isn't against forum rules plz - I found one, but it doesn't say Mirabox on it, but I assume is exactly the same)

Hi,

No worries!! - my seller doesn’t have any stock listed any longer (for some reason!) and not sure I’m allowed to posts links in any case

But if you search for: 2025 Mirabox N4 Pro - then you should find some sellers - like eBay etc just check their ratings and reviews

Also have you had any issues with the software, just doing some research and saw someone flag something as suspicious with the software. I know with off brands you often get the bootleg software which makes you wonder about security issues as times.
However people have reported DLL files appearing which are indicating spyware. Someone on the Reddit link provides another youtube video which contains a spyware free software download:

- Goes over the reddit page I have attached underneath
https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/1llsweu/mirabox_stream_dock_installer_deemed_riskware_by/ (There is close of this reddit page, but this one is more updated with comments and potential work around I believe)
Just thought I would provide it in case you were not aware or in case you are able to provide deeper insights into the matter.

Here is the video that is put in the above reddit link which contains a man providing an alternative link:

the lad in the video literally states several times that he's not an expert in it - LOL!!.. you read the post in reddit and they literally don't have a clue either.. not had an issue with mine - bnut do your own research and make your own choices!.. FWIW there's several other large manufacturers who have had things flagged as false positives as well.. you're given a link to download the software from in the box with the device - that's the one i used and not had any issues..

EDIT: just read through the post on Reddit also - the person who wrote that has no clue what they're talking about either.. the files they are referring to are plugin specific... they;ve installed plugins to run performance monitoring on their device- this plugin clearly needs a helper app (app.exe) in order to poll the sensor information and expose it to the plugin so it can be displayed.. prime example of people posting absolute nonsense who have zero clue what they're actually talking about.. the reason you can delete it and the device still works is because it's a plugin! (they're too thick to realise that the actual plugin this relates to won't actually work though!).. hardly dealing with the sharpest end of the IQ pool here...

Well that is reassuring  I am uneducated on the subject, so thank you for clarifying all that! :)
