DRAM Prices Surge 172% YoY with No Signs of Slowing Down

Last week I spent £319 on 64GB CL30 6000 DDR5
lol i got lucky and got 96gb of 6000 cl30 a week or so ago for 200 quid
i need to get it tested asap as it seems too good to be true lol
Just curious, which ones did you purchase? Brand and code? It will be interesting to see how much they keep rising over the months.

Makes you wonder if at least one manufacturer will increase production, they will then sell more and make more money even at a reduced price compared to the other manufacturers, then maybe they will follow suit as well, we shall see.

mine was from the b grade section hence the price lol
corsair 2x48gb il find the model number in a minute lol usually 365 quid or something is the not b grade price atm elsewhere its near on 500 quid though lol

Reasons like this you should buy RAM when it's cheap even when you don't need it.

I maxed out my both systems and server 128gb last year. Cost less than £200 for 32gb x 4.

I won't be building a new PC until DDR6 is out, and I plan to go for a 128Gb system.

Guess I'd better start saving now...

I was considering an AM5 upgrade next year, potentially for GTAVI in 2027, but now that’s been delayed I’m going to wait. I mean, a 5950x and 9070XT should be enough, right?

i hope so
il probably be keeping my 5900x and 9070xt as my second rig and im hoping it will be good enough for gta vi fingers crossed lol

Tried 192GB and returned it as I didn't need the capacity at the moment, and figured if I find myself bumping into the limit I'd just repurchase it. Just saw the price of it

I built my AM5 system in september this year, actually bought my Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x 16GB) 6000MT/s DDR5 2 months ago today 11/09, £108.now up near £200,
only the other day was thinking maybe stick some 64GB in there now to future proof it, for an extra £400 i think i'll stay current proof for now :p
id also been happy with my 9070Xt nitro, thinking if i need to upgrade for better Vr i can hopefully get a 5080 super or 5090 super if needed, ooof not now eeek!
