So my mate fitted my tyres for me on Friday and he used one of the below to break the bead. He then used a pair of levers and rim protectors to get the tyre off the rim. I get through a fair amount of tyres, and most places seem to charge ~£65 ride in price to do a pair. I can get a static wheel balancer for £40 and a bead breaker/stand combo for £60. £20 for a set of tyre spoons and rim protectors, £14 for a set of wheel weights and I'm good to go, unless there's other options out there I should consider? All up I'd be looking at £140 so two pairs of tyres and I'd be saving. I do ride a fair amount (2000 miles since March this year) and so do get through a reasonable amount of tyres.
Edit to add I already own an air compressor and a valve core removal tool is like a fiver
Thoughts? Ta muchly
