Black friday shopping list

Checked Amazon today and was disappointed. Was really hoping they'd sell the Philips Hue bulbs I wanted for 99p with a free PS5 :(
Some decent deals on Karcher stuff. OC still has better deals on computer stuff though, and yeah, Philips Hue is unobtanium as ever.

Bought a couple of things already, a 2TB SSD for travel....turns out 1TB isn't enough for photos when the camera shoots 42mp when i am used to 24mp.

Also a new grip for the X100VI, the woodern grip I got, whilst has a arca swiss plate built in, doesn't have a tripod thread which is a problem for one of my small tripod.

Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop with Self-Cleaning and Auto-Empty dropped from £479 to £329 now trying to see if can find vouchers to drop it further

Just hammered the Amex with a full system build for my youngest daughter... AM5 + 9060XT = £1150.

Black Friday discounts only knocked about £90 off the total- better than a poke in the eye, but still wincing at the cost of what was supposed to be a "budget system".

AM4 with an Intel GPU would have only been about £200 cheaper, but as the youngest, she usually gets the older two's hand-me-downs. It'll be nice for her to have something shiny and new for once.

Changed my mind and am now looking for a gaming laptop as mine has dodgey usb ports and the letters are rubbing off the keys, Overclockers have some decent deals on but need to be sensible as I've just forked out £12k for a new roof :(

Can't or won't?

If it's a wife problem, could always take the fuse out the plug... :)

No, it's kind of same reason I have a banger car.

My brain doesn't like small upgrades.

A TV is still a TV. It may have a little better picture. But is that worth 1k?
A car is still a car. It still gets you from a to b. Is spending 400 a month worth it?

So I was happy to buy my garmin watch. I don't have one. But to upgrade something it needs to be make a material difference.

Looking at a new mid-range phone, got my list down to a Pixel 9a, OnePlus 13r and a Nothing phone 3a Pro. Any thoughts on these 3 guys?

OnePlus is excellent - the only reason I switched my 11 Pro is because I had too good an offer for a Pixel 9 Pro XL over the OP 13. If I had to choose between a lite version of the Pixel 9 and the lite version of the OP 13, I'd grab the 13 for the camera alone (I don't make enough use of Gemini to justify sacrificing other aspects for it).

Don't have any experience of Nothing to make a judgement on it, but it reviews very well...

TV will definitely provide more joy than 1000 extra on the bank balance :) I found the jump from Plasma to OLED to be great, and that was 5 years ago - I got an LG G4 this year and was wowed again.

4k oled HDR says hello, brings up the experience to another level watching football, sports and movies and the black levels , also 120hz if gaming

But don't you need sources for that?
I only have Netflix. And I believe that's fairly compressed even at "HD" price tier?

Why are you even having this debate. You were on the fence a year or 2 ago about the same purchase. Just get one when you're ready to.

I'm waiting for discounts for Coffee Beans. I've had a lot of necessary expense this month and more next month and holiday expense to pay for as well.

Yeah I have sources for all that I don't use any of the usual subscription services:)

And I'm tight but for the experience I think it's great investment for something that I can enjoy for years regularly
