F1 Academy is such a joke of a series. Weug even had the gall to claim the car in front brake checked her, when it was clear from the heli shot that Weug just had a complete brain fart and accelerated in to the back of the other car.
 
Mega lap from Lando. All the pressure on him, in the wet. Really fantastic. I don’t want to pile on the superlatives until the season is done but spin back to what his detractors were saying halfway through the season…Can’t deny he’s had a great run of luck, mind. But he’s done it all right too.

Have we seen or heard what Lewis was doing to drive over the bollard? That was bizarre.

Edit: what was Hadjar doing trying to overtake Piastri on his last lap too? :confused:

Great to see that Lando is finally delivering with the assurance and steadiness to match his ability. The talent was never in doubt.

To those with a clue, an awful lot of people on this forum jumped on the Piastri bandwagon straight away whilst at the same time being VERY certain Lando was a bottler and would never be a champion based on him making a few mistakes, it was a very interesting phenomenom, it required them to completley ignore Piastri getting schooled the previous season.

@sidimmu must be devastated, announced Norris was choking only a few weeks back and from that polint on Norris has absolutely smashed it out the park :cry:

That said... now i've thrown down a few digs and got cocky he will probably crash out the next three races, leaving me looking like a muppet :p

There’s quite a few things I want to say on the subjects of Norris and Verstappen, but definitely safer to wait until the season’s over. lol :p

There’s one thing I will say at this point though regardless of how it ends - Lando definitely does not get the credit he deserves when he does well.

I think most of the original doubters are starting to give him some praise now, he's been good since the summer break and has hit top form at the perfect moment.

Just a bit of light ribbing mate, nothing personal.
 
I've always thought Norris has a title in him based on his outright speed but there were other parts of his overall package missing; he seems to have taken it to another level since the summer break though.
While he has clearly taken the pressure and been galvanised, Piastri for some reason hasn't coped with the pressure at all, he had a fairly poor final run in at the end of last year as well.

Piastri will get a title eventually although if Norris wins this season as seems likely now you wonder if he'll kick on next season and find another level again making Piastri's job harder, especially in a team that lets face it seems to favour Norris anyway.
In some respects I see parallels between McLaren with Norris and McLaren with Hamilton - someone they brought into the sport and supported in F2, etc getting favoured over drivers they've brought into the team.

Noticed that as well some just don't like the person for whatever reason although I only watch the races and interviews after and don't see what's the problem

Regulations change next season opens it all up again , so this could be Norris / Oscars best chance to get WDC
 
Great session. Amazing no red flags!

Looks like norris has it in the bag. I wanted piastri to win. But norris deserves it. He's turned his season around and piastri seems to have buckled. Would not have expected that mid season!
I've said it before but almost feels like piastri and norris swapped brains in the summer break.

Glad the race is early as means I can actually watch it on Sunday as always takes a few hours to become available.

Worse is when it's late and I can't watch until Monday.
