** Diablo 4 Thread **

It doesn't look good at all, as can be seen from the comments and elsewhere.

The game is pretty much dead already, as can be seen from this thread. The only hope is a D3 type resurrection, but even that went from bad to just an okay ARPG.

The latest campfire chat was absolutely brutal, they asked for specific targeted questions to be asked in the Q & A (which is just laughable to begin with) - AND THEN, they couldn't answer them..

As ever, the best bit about it was frosty's follow up video.

It's just a complete farce at this point S9 - and still no loot filter in an ARPG...

:D

I bought the expansion (with credit I still have from WoW tokens when I used to play) a week ago or so and still haven't logged in to play it. Says it all to me really.

Played every season and still enjoy it. Just started a new druid
Getting 400fps at 4k with the new nvidia drivers and the new implementation of DLSS4

Yeah I was the exact same, it looks pretty but it gets samey very quickly.

I don't know if I could put myself through the same play through again.
For some reason I preferred D3 to D4.

I think its down to the multiplier side of things, I used to love jumping on to rifts, greater rifts and bounties with randoms but there is none of that on D4 unless your in a group with friends.

You cannot even do quests etc together to help pass the time because they are only tracked under the player who picks it up so your still on your own doing these

What annoyed me quite a lot is for the last season they slowed down the leveling. Have they made it faster again for the new season or is it still slow?

Even though the seasons are all the same thing just with re-skins, I did previously enjoy the fast leveling and don't like it when its slowed down

They keep changing the pace from season to season - it's as if they can't decide what they want the game to be. Fun & aimed at casuals, or for a more hardcore crowd ? I've lost all motivation to play D4 - sat out this season and the last one. The ARPG genre isn't in a good place at the moment ; D4 and POE2 are both floundering.

It's faster, I got to level 30 (so half way) in about 3 hours and I'm in expert tier now, but that's with solo play. If you group up and do dungeons etc it's much quicker. Already seeing lot's of people around 55 and it only went live at 6pm yesterday.
Also there's a new dungeon sigil thing that gives lots of xp, but I haven't looked into that yet

Can I get some advice for this silly little game? :)
I'm a long time D3 player (and still play every season) so thought I'd make use of the final few weeks of GamePass before my cancellation kicks in and play D4.

I've just hit top level and have started earning paragon levels. But, what am I supposed to do now? I googled how to earn green sets and apparently they're not a thing anymore. I was looking forward to running some sort of OP build.

I think I'm earning some loyalty points towards some faction (I skipped reading everything!). But what do I do now? I hate grouping up, so solo only.

There isn't much of an end game. Basically you're at the point where the only progression is increasing your paragon levels ( which can be invested in strengthening your character / abilities ), trying higher difficulty levels ( Torment 1- 4 ) and grinding for better gear ( via drops, masterworking etc ). The faction stuff is a remnant of the base game at launch which unlocks some extra skill points, potion slots etc. After you have done them once on any character they remain unlocked permananently ( including statues of Lilith ).
