** Diablo 4 Thread **

Those of you who have played this extensively. Is it worth giving it a punt now?
If you've never played it before but like ARPG's you can definitely get some enjoyment from it eg. completing the campaign. But as a long term game ? Hmm, not really. Every season feels the same ; the only variety is created by Blizzard tweaking class skills to make certain builds FotM.

I have been holding out since launch tbh so been meaning to get the game eventually. Have heard that overall its been underwhelming though.

Yup, it's just very middling. Graphics & presentation are the strong points, but the devs have struggled to find balance with the various classes and the loot / gear remains underwhelming despite several goes at reworking some of the in-game systems.

Was mildly interested until I saw the price, no point spending so much until everything they have in the pipeline is out.

I'm guessing the class unlocks instantly as they just want people to beta test it too :D

Are they having a laugh? is it really £35.99?

Don't get me wrong the trailers above look good but I'm not paying that

Why would you want the poor loser edition when you can have the £79.99 version
….I’m a sucker for anything Diablo, might only do the seasons but that’s enough, the cosmetics don’t interest me, not at £20+ nor the battle passes.

Started a Paladin for the new season, so far pretty standard fare. Started new season, find quest giver and go kill things and the level via Helltides/Dungeons whilst doing the season challenges, only twist is we’re now back to capstones to progress to the next tier.

at least gameplay in d4 is better than poe2.
but game is to easy
True, but at least it's fun for a week or so each season. PoE2 on the other hand, geez ... GGG needs to abandon this desire to create Ruthless 2.0 pronto. The falloff in players from the EA launch is considerable. At this rate it's going to have a much smaller playerbase than the original PoE, and I'm sure that was never their intention.

My thought. I want the Paladin because that's my natural play style, but I'm not paying £35 for a character that should have been there at the start. Didn't Blizzard do this will D2 as well? Ill wait until the either a) they split the Pally from the expansion, or b) the expansion is $15 or less.

totally agree.

I first thought I would looking at the base game with the DLC for 35.99 then I looked again and its the price for the standard DLC only.
