Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 24th November 2025]

What is going on at Liverpool?

Memes and all that ****** aside.

I thought that with Alisson back, things would change.

However, yeh, what happened?

TBH it's funny. Had a couple of good seasons and now look like cannon fodder.

Salah needs to go. He can't pinch goals like he used to as he doesn't get the chances.

The team is broken. Too many "superstars" that forgot to turn up each week?

If you thought with Alisson back things might change I wonder have you watched a single game :D
We've been almost uniformly terrible. Slot continues to pick his favourites, even when they're out of form and have been for weeks while players that show intent, passion and urgency like Chiesa, Szobozlai and Ngumoha get sidelined. He would rather play Dom at RB when we desperately need him in the middle than play an actual RB like Gomez or Ramsay. He has until New Year's to right the ship, I'm just not sure he can.

I’ve been making a conscious decision to avoid watching football this season, lack of sky and stress levels at an all time high I didn’t want to throw a weekly melt down into the mix.

And sods law, Arsenal are smashing it. I almost can’t start watching now in case I jinx it!

He's lost the aura of invincibility. Now teams believe they can get something. Hope Salah will score was lucky enough to have worked for once season

Ive only just seen it briefly on a x page but no one saying anything about Arsenal's second goal

"The referee’s call of goal was checked and confirmed by VAR – with it deemed that there were no Arsenal players in the line of vision of the goalkeeper, and they made no movement to impact an opponent while in an offside position."

3 were in front and one jumped, all offside.
Game is a joke and decided by officials.

Might come back and watch it again when they get a rule book the officials can follow instead of making it up as they go along, and when sky bin the muppets. Hopefully Paramount come in for PL like they have for the CL

Didn't see the Arsenal game but Newcastle's second goal looked offside to me and Schar's challenge in the first few minutes of the game baffles me that it wasn't a penalty, even after a VAR review. Not that I'm complaining. My only gripes this week is how bad I've done in the prediction league.

They were talking about that in another forum, apparently it’s 100% given in Europe, but for some reason in the Premier League because Foden got the shot away PL refs don’t give a foul and a pen, even though it’s a foul anyway else on the pitch, I though pen straight away from where I sit.

Yellow card if it's in the centre circle imo. Oh well :D

tbh yeh not seen much of him, been injured right.

I guess it was more of one the Match of the Day pundits a few weeks ago, discussing the issues at Liverpool who said Alison is the only World Class keeper in the Prem.

Maybe I shouldn't have took any notice lol

Just catching up with the weekend football, didn’t expect that result from Newcastle, however I was expecting a draw in all honesty. Reasoning for that was a response from our disaster form before the international break, us being at home and the Tino and Hall being back available.

The full backs made a massive difference and it is why I really feel our season so far has been a bit of a false start. We always seem to start a season with issues but I guess that isn’t an excuse Howe and the team should have every year. Hopefully with our full backs now back in (and whenever Wissa finally available) we can really show some true form.

The jury is still out however as it’s always easy for this team to show up at St James park on an evening in a “big game”, it’s how do we replicate this away. We need to perform against Everton away otherwise it’s almost for nothing, we are at the point we were last season where we need a run in the league to have a chance at top 5.

Tino and Hall are so good. Oh and again Thiaw… honestly how did we get him at that price ?

Eze could be what gets Arsenal over the line. Scored a few crackers today that have put the game beyond Spurs.

The issue is where does Odegaard go? I'm pretty sure Arteta puts Odegaard back in to Eze's position when fit so that moves Eze out to the left.

I think Eze might be better in that position than Odegaard. Odegaard has a better passing range but Eze has that thing that wins games. Goals.
